Xu Yao and Hao Chenshi went to the gym together. Xu Yao borrowed some money from Hao Chenshi. Despite his words that he didn't care about Li Nianhuan, she was like a little sister he had cared for since childhood. He just wanted Li Nianhuan to experience the feeling of being in need of money temporarily before giving her the money.

Yu Jiaen, Zhang Qing, and Li Nianhuan had hotpot and drinks together. Each of them, from different graduating years, had their own troubles. Some worried about money, others about work-related stress. Zhang Qing was also concerned about whether she should tell Hao Chenshi about her plans to go to Shanghai. Yu Jiaen suggested that she should give Hao Chenshi a heads-up.

Li Nianhuan had a bit too much to drink, and Yu Jiaen escorted her home. Xu Yao brought the money borrowed from Hao Chenshi to Li Nianhuan. Both of them deeply cared for Li Nianhuan. Yu Jiaen originally planned to give her the money after receiving her salary, but Li Nianhuan lied and claimed that Zhao Ang was figuring out how to raise money. She didn't mention Su Yi giving her money.

Hao Chenshi wanted to make a ring for Zhang Qing himself. This came as a surprise to Zhang Qing, who thought it was silver and not convenient for her to wear. Zhang Qing's younger brother got into trouble after fighting with someone, and her mother wanted to settle the matter privately by asking for money. Zhang Qing was reluctant but couldn't let it go entirely. Eventually, she negotiated with Lu Zijie. Her salary would be increased, and she would receive shares in the future subsidiary company. Consequently, she gave up her plans to start a business in Shanghai. Yu Jiaen and Lin Li went to Fānxīng to make their proposals, while Xu Yao and Su Yi attended a financing conference. Xu Yao and Su Yi exchanged encouraging messages on WeChat. Whenever Xu Yao felt nervous, he would solve a Rubik's Cube. He did the same thing during the conference, and even when he was about to go on stage. However, when he began speaking, he did exceptionally well, not shying away from discussing the differences between him and Su Yi. His words even made the audience laugh.
