Xu Yao was very dignified. He shared his story with his ex-girlfriend and the initial intention behind establishing his brand. He sincerely wished Yu Jiaen happiness and said he hoped she would be happy every day in the future. Yu Jiaen ran out, and Li Nianhuan followed, hoping she wouldn't leave because she would regret it. She hoped the other person would find her unsuitable, but her blind date, Zhao Xu, liked her. However, Yu Jiaen wasn't interested in him.

Yu Jiaen received a call from the bridal shop where she and Xu Yao had taken wedding photos. The photos were displayed in the shop. Yu Jiaen conveniently had Zhao Xu accompany her to retrieve the photos. Unexpectedly, she ran into Xu Yao at the bridal shop. The two stared at each other for a long time. Later, while struggling for the wedding photos, they fell to the ground. Yu Jiaen took the photos, walked out of the bridal shop, and, right in front of Xu Yao, tore them up and threw them in the trash. She hoped Xu Yao would let her go. Xu Yao suspected that Yu Jiaen hadn't been with Lu Zijie after all because she referred to Lu Zijie as "General Lu." Indeed, since the fashion show, Lu Zijie had realized that he and Yu Jiaen weren't meant to be. He had finally found the answer to the question Zhang Qing had asked him initially. Yu Jiaen was better suited to being a key figure in the company, and he decided to give up pursuing her.

Xu Yao's father's health deteriorated day by day. He started coughing up blood and intentionally kept it from Xu Yao. Xu Yao's father organized some of his belongings and told Xu Yao where they were. He hoped Xu Yao would remember them so he could show them to his child in the future and let the child know how outstanding their father was. Xu Yao was puzzled by his father's words, but after his father explained, he found it reasonable and didn't dwell on it.

Li Nianhuan couldn't help but seek out Yu Jiaen and told her about Xu Yao's father's terminal illness. She emphasized that Xu Yao would lose even more in the future, and he was truly pitiable. She intentionally called Xu Yao while at the airport, hoping to have dinner with his family.
