Rong Xiu had a dream where Xue Waner, accompanied by Rong Yan, came to settle scores with him. Rong Yan, without mercy, held a sword to him, threatening to kill him. Suddenly waking up, Rong Xiu found Xue Lingyi's maid seeking help. Rong Xiu believed that Xue Lingyi was responsible for his predicament, feeling displeased but also considering that she might assist him. He decided to visit her.
Upon seeing Rong Xiu seeking help, Xue Lingyi hoped he would aid her escape. Rong Xiu demanded that Xue Lingyi sign a confession, promising assistance in return. Xue Lingyi perceived Rong Xiu's selfishness, completely disregarding his own life.
Despite Rong Xiu's attempt to force Xue Lingyi to sign the confession, she took advantage of the moment to poke Rong Xiu in the eyes and tried to escape. Rong Xiu ordered his men to capture her, willingly presenting her to Rong Yan. Others found it unbelievable—Xue Lingyi's malicious intentions, using pregnancy and then aiming for total annihilation. Rong Lao Tai Tai, witnessing the event, felt that Xue Lingyi was beyond redemption. She never expected someone she once highly regarded to be so cruel and disrespectful to the reputation of the Rong family.
Rong Xiu intended to hand over Yuge'er to Xue Waner and divorce Xue Lingyi. With her mouth sealed, Xue Lingyi could only cry in silent agony. Xue Waner finally fulfilled her wish, feeling excited that she could now be with her child openly and rightfully.
