During lunch, Shi Xiaochun asked Ling Chen if he had decided to withdraw from the competition, and Ling Chen confirmed it. Ling Chen mentioned that he had been practicing classical ballet with his mother since childhood but always lacked emotional connection to it. However, he felt that he had found his true self when he started modern ballet. Shi Xiaochun still wanted to persuade Ling Chen not to give up the opportunity, but Ling Chen's mind was made up.
Yu Lihua saw Ling Chen and Shi Xiaochun together and was dissatisfied but couldn't do anything about it. On the way back, Shi Xiaochun told Ling Chen that he still hoped Ling Chen would participate in the competition. Ling Chen earnestly told Shi Xiaochun that she was never an obstacle to his progress but rather his motivation. Shi Xiaochun felt warm inside because, in Ling Chen's heart, she was the most important.
When it was time for class, Teacher Lin reprimanded Xiao Bu for not being prepared and Ling Chen arrived quite late. Ling Chen mentioned that for his dance, he hoped three classmates could help him. At this time, Yu Lihua was still waiting for Ling Chen to come for practice, but instead, he went to Teacher Lin's class. The head teacher also saw Ling Chen's performance and was impressed by it.
Xiao Bu went to find Yu Manman to rehearse a performance together. Xiao Bu dressed up as a girl to make Yu Manman happy. Despite her injured ankle, Yu Manman wanted to continue dancing, and Xiao Bu was worried about her. He suggested going to the hospital, but Yu Manman insisted that she was fine. The reason she was so determined to dance was that her mother wanted her to fulfill her wish. Yu Manman later called Yu Lihua and expressed her desire to participate in the ballet competition, which Yu Lihua agreed to.
During class, Yu Lihua announced that Yu Manman was one of the candidates for the competition. Afterward, she took Yu Manman for training. Xiao Bu was still concerned about Yu Manman's foot, but she claimed to be fine. Since Ling Chen and Shi Xiaochun were not in the right state for practice, Teacher Lin suggested that they should go watch a Tai Chi class on the weekend, hoping they might find the missing feeling for their modern dance.
After returning, Xiao Bu was still worried about Yu Manman and wanted Ling Chen to persuade her. Ling Chen could also see that Xiao Bu liked Yu Manman. To repay Ling Chen, Xiao Bu mentioned that Shi Xiaochun enjoyed performances by a modern dance troupe and that Shi Xiaochun would be very happy if he could get tickets.
The next day, Ling Chen took Yu Manman to see an orthopedic doctor. However, the doctor found that Yu Manman's foot injury was severe, and if she continued high-intensity training, she might never be able to dance again. Yu Manman quickly found an excuse to leave, and Ling Chen wanted to persuade her, but Yu Manman felt that they couldn't even be friends. Ling Chen was still concerned about Yu Manman's condition, but she insisted that he shouldn't interfere.
After Yu Manman left, Ling Chen informed Xiao Bu about the situation and hoped that he could convince Yu Manman not to participate in the competition before registering. Ling Chen also talked to his mother and hoped that she could persuade Yu Manman not to participate, especially since her injury hadn't healed yet. Early in the morning, Shi Xiaochun brought Ling Chen to the park where the uncles and aunties were practicing Tai Chi. Shi Xiaochun wanted to gain a better understanding and perhaps find the missing feeling for modern dance. Later, a Tai Chi master came to instruct them, and after practicing Tai Chi, they went to have a meal together.
