Teacher Lin assigned a task to Ling Chen and Pan Pan to work together. Pan Pan was afraid of messing up and initially wanted to refuse. However, due to Teacher Lin's insistence, Pan Pan had no choice but to reluctantly agree. It was mostly a matter of his mindset, and Teacher Lin scolded Pan Pan for it. Ling Chen assured that he would help Pan Pan train properly.
Han Duoduo went to Pan Pan's restaurant to have a meal and recognized Pan Pan as Shi Xiaochun's classmate. They exchanged greetings, but as soon as Pan Pan left, a group of young troublemakers nearby tried to harass Han Duoduo. Pan Pan happened to return and stood up for Han Duoduo. These troublemakers were street thugs, and not only did they beat up Pan Pan, but they also assaulted Pan Pan's mother. The entire restaurant was vandalized, and Pan Pan's mother was rushed to the hospital. Han Duoduo quickly called Shi Xiaochun for help since Pan Pan needed her friends now.

Pan Pan explained that he didn't want to do lifts and mentioned that many family issues had been bothering him. Shi Xiaochun and Ling Chen tried to persuade Pan Pan, but he felt that they were showing off their superiority in front of him. Pan Pan said he wanted to work and earn money quickly to pay them back. In reality, Pan Pan misunderstood Shi Xiaochun and Ling Chen, but Shi Xiaochun understood his feelings.
When Shi Xiaochun returned to her dormitory, her mother called and gave her some advice, knowing that something was bothering her. Shi Xiaochun then told her mother about Pan Pan's situation. She didn't know if helping Pan Pan was right or wrong, but her mother's advice gave her clarity.
