Pan Pan's mother was about to be discharged from the hospital, and everyone gathered to pick her up. Xiao Bu, despite being busy with his competition, made time to visit Pan Pan's mother. With everyone's help, Pan Pan's family restaurant officially opened, and they were very grateful to their classmates for their assistance.
Xiao Bu was late for class due to his busy rehearsal schedule. Teacher Lin didn't reprimand him directly but asked him to demonstrate the connection between mechanical dance and ballet. Xiao Bu couldn't perform well, so he called Pan Pan to join him. However, their rehearsal did not go well, and Xiao Bu explained to Teacher Lin that he wasn't adequately prepared. Teacher Lin understood that Xiao Bu was preoccupied with the competition but reminded him that he had reached the maximum number of absences and needed to be careful, or he would face disciplinary action.
Teacher Lin assigned Shi Xiaochun to choreograph, even though she had never tried it before and felt nervous about it. Xiao Bu, in a hurry to attend his rehearsal, tried to sneak out of the dormitory. However, the dormitory supervisor saw him and scolded everyone for breaking the rules. Xiao Bu had to come up with an excuse, claiming that Ling Chen wanted to confess his feelings to Shi Xiaochun. Ling Chen, who hadn't realized the situation, was signaled by Xiao Bu to play along. They had to sing loudly to distract the supervisor while Xiao Bu continued to sneak out.
Xiao Bu rushed to his rehearsal but was scolded by the director for being late. Shi Xiaochun was delighted by Ling Chen's confession the previous night, and their video had already been posted online. When Ling Chen arrived, Shi Xiaochun pretended not to care.
Yu Manman's foot pain was getting worse. Shi Xiaochun suggested that the three of them create a new dance routine. She asked them to close their eyes and feel the movements. Xiao Bu was initially puzzled by the exercise, but Shi Xiaochun instructed them to walk forward with their eyes closed. Xiao Bu thought it was a waste of time, and Shi Xiaochun apologized to him. Xiao Bu mentioned that he planned to take a leave of absence because he didn't have time to rehearse and pursue his dream. He had discussed it with the head teacher, who told him that taking a leave of absence was for the students' improvement. However, since Xiao Bu's original approach didn't support it, he had to either withdraw from the competition or take a leave of absence.
Yu Lihua was supposed to help Yu Manman with her rehearsal, but she arrived late, mentioning that Xiao Bu was considering taking a leave of absence. Upon learning this, Yu Manman felt uneasy. When Shi Xiaochun and her friends prepared to cheer Xiao Bu up, he unexpectedly announced his intention to take a leave of absence. While everyone was still surprised, Xiao Bu received a call from his father, who informed him that his mother had been hospitalized due to anxiety upon learning about his decision to take a leave of absence.
In the hospital, Xiao Bu coincidentally met Yu Manman, who was there to get more painkillers. She also knew about his decision and advised him to think carefully. Yu Manman decided to visit Xiao Bu's mother. She was aware that Xiao Bu had become a star, but being a star wasn't easy. They tried to persuade Xiao Bu not to take a leave of absence, emphasizing that his dreams were worth pursuing. Yu Manman also praised Xiao Bu's singing talent.
