While Xiao Bu is preparing for the competition, Yu Manman's mother comes to him, claiming that Yu Manman is missing, and she has packed up all her things. Xiao Bu is deeply worried about Yu Manman. Meanwhile, Yu Manman sits alone on the rooftop of the teaching building, contemplating that it wouldn't matter if she disappeared. Wanting to jump off, her parents try to persuade her from below. At the same time, Xiao Bu, standing on the competition stage, decides to leave after much contemplation. He goes to the rooftop to sing to Yu Manman, expressing his hope for her to stay by his side, promising to protect her happiness. It's Xiao Bu who helps Yu Manman regain faith in life, and Xiao Bu, in turn, gives up the competition.
The relationship between Shi Xiaochun and Ling Chen improves. Shi Xiaochun believes that love helps individuals become better versions of themselves, and she supports Ling Chen's decision to study abroad. Xiao Bu, criticized by the director for giving up the competition, receives a message from Yu Manman, who says she is leaving for a while. Xiao Bu doesn't know how to respond, but he promises to support all of Yu Manman's decisions.
Whenever Shi Xiaochun has time, she helps Ling Chen pack his things. Ling Chen suddenly gets inspiration on how to perform their final move in the upcoming competition. As Ling Chen is about to leave, everyone gathers to bid him farewell. The day of his enrollment is after the finals, leaving Shi Xiaochun deeply saddened.
As the competition approaches, their training intensifies. Shi Xiaochun struggles with a particular move, and despite her desire to practice more, she cannot get it right. Yu Lihua thinks it's a psychological issue, and Shi Xiaochun remains nervous. This situation makes Ling Chen feel uneasy.
Xiao Bu had once given up the competition and now has to sell his songs to others. He shares the recent events with Yu Manman, who reads every message but doesn't reply. Shi Xiaochun continues to practice in the rehearsal room. Ling Chen watches her and suggests she takes a break, but Shi Xiaochun fears that resting will make her think about Ling Chen leaving. She is determined to find the right feeling and does not want to disappoint Ling Chen.
Upon reviewing a contract, Xiao Bu discovers that the other party not only wants to buy the song but also wants to claim credit for it. This angers Xiao Bu, and he decides not to sell the song. Yu Manman finally sends a message to Xiao Bu, inquiring about his well-being. Xiao Bu expresses his discontent and the desire to meet Yu Manman. However, Yu Manman is unsure how to respond.
During the first rehearsal, Shi Xiaochun struggles with spins and continuously falls on stage. Everyone believes that she won't make it. With only eight days left until the competition, Shi Xiaochun locks herself in the rehearsal room, ignoring everyone's advice. After learning that Xiao Bu was deceived in a songwriting deal, Ling Chen thinks of a way to make Shi Xiaochun rest and not rehearse. Hong Jiaoyang tricks Shi Xiaochun to come out, and Ling Chen waits for her at the endpoint. Ling Chen takes Shi Xiaochun to the park, making her follow a path that everyone has prepared, hoping to give her encouragement and support.
