Young and beautiful comic artist Zhong Ling, in order to treat her son Kele's congenital diabetes, takes Kele back to the city she left six years ago after breaking up with her ex-boyfriend Han Donglai. Unexpectedly, Kele gets lost and accidentally encounters a man who looks very similar to the man often appearing in her mother's drawings, Han Donglai. Kele mistakenly thinks he is his father and is taken back to Han Donglai's office. This creates an opportunity for the two to meet again and sparks a complex and tortuous love-hate relationship.

As they meet again, they become entangled once more due to Kele's true identity and illness.
