After Zhong Ling and Han Donglai reunited, they had their first heart-to-heart talk. The discussion turned into a conflict due to the issue of the child's father. Han Donglai's words had a sharp edge, which finally triggered Zhong Ling to explode with pent-up grievances. She poured out her grievances from the past, leaving Han Donglai speechless. Fortunately, Kele's return acted as a bonding agent. Seeing little Kele feeling cold and having nowhere else to go, Zhong Ling reluctantly agreed to temporarily live in Han Donglai's vacant house. Kele was very happy with his "new home" and happily dragged Han Donglai and Zhong Ling, wanting both of them to sleep with him. However, they couldn't agree to his request.
After six years, Zhong Ling and Han Donglai shared the same bed again, burdened with heavy emotions. But inconveniently, little Kele, who was contentedly sleeping in the middle, disrupted the atmosphere, making it both awkward and tender. The next morning, Han Donglai rushed to take a shower, and Zhong Ling wanted to leave. Unable to respond from the bathroom, Han Donglai was found almost fainting from a high fever when Zhong Ling forced the door open. Zhong Ling quickly helped him to the bed. Her attentive care made Han Donglai feel as if he had returned to six years ago, but in a dazed state.
