Mu Chen and Kele collaborated and finally succeeded in persuading Zhong Ling to stay and take care of Han Donglai. Kele had a heart-to-heart talk with Han Donglai and discovered that Han Donglai's condition was not as optimistic as it seemed on the surface. He hoped that after he passed away, Han Donglai could be there for his mom. Zhong Ling, who was listening outside the room, finally understood the reason behind Kele's persistence in finding his dad. She was moved and heartbroken, tears streaming down her face.
Han Donglai's absence from home for several days raised suspicions from his mother, Han Mother. She questioned Mu Chen fiercely and learned that Han Donglai was with Zhong Ling, which greatly displeased her. Lin Xiaxi came to find Han Donglai and slapped Zhong Ling upon seeing her.
