At that moment, Yue Qin arrived, offering to help Yin Luomei investigate the case, though his real intention was to assist Mei Lin in escaping. However, Yin Luomei confirmed that Mei Lin was not a spy from Xi Yan but more likely a surviving orphan from Qingzhou.

Still, because Mei Lin's martial skills were so advanced, further investigation was necessary. Murong Jinghe, standing in the shadows, overheard Yin Luomei’s words and finally understood why the Eastern Palace had been so quiet recently—they planned to use Yin Luomei to deal with him.
