Kill My Sins Episode 27 Recap
> Kill My Sins Recap
A year ago, Li Jun, the Assistant Imperial Censor, was ordered to reflect on his actions due to his belief in Ye Ping'an’s words, which led to the use of the "Dragon Scales and Weeping Bamboo" punishment. The Empress believed this tarnished the reputations of the legendary women, E Huang and Nü Ying, and Emperor Shun, and she scolded Li Jun harshly.
Now, the Empress had called him once again to serve at the newly opened prison at Lijing Gate, signaling her intention to reuse him. Li Jun, still holding a grudge against Ye Ping'an, planned to skin her alive and tear her bones apart as soon as he had the chance. Now that Ye Ping'an was accused of hiding armor, Li Jun knew her methods and suspected she was still hiding somewhere within the capital.
Meanwhile, government officials were forcefully occupying the salt fields, causing many commoners to be unable to survive, leading to family destruction. Wu Xianer was worried about this, but Wu Youjing believed that the Wu family’s control over land and salt ensured their foundation was secure, dismissing Wu Xianer's concerns.
Wu Youjing asked where the armor used to frame Ye Ping'an had come from, and Wu Xianer explained that she had borrowed it from a general, though she did not specify which general. Now that Ye Ping'an had returned to the capital, Wu Youjing decided to make her "sleep" forever and arranged for Wu Xianer to borrow a team from Minister Zhang to capture Ye Ping'an.
Wu Xianer quickly approached Minister Zhang, instructing him to capture Ye Ping'an alive within three days. Just then, someone arrived with the news that Ye Ping'an had been spotted in the black market. On the other side, Li Jun’s men searched the medical clinic, the Wan Guo Fragrance, and the fabric shop but found no trace of Ye Ping'an. The only remaining area to search was the black market near Yanqing Alley.
Li Jun immediately took his men there and searched the entire market, discovering something strange at the Jiulong Pavilion in the western part of the market. Ye Ping'an was indeed hiding in the Jiulong Pavilion. Knowing she could not escape, she decided to wait for her pursuers to come. Gu Erniang and Ni Chang were anxious, worried they would be caught, while Ye Ping'an remained calm, not showing any sign of fear. They could not tell what her plan was.
Li Jun was about to lead his men into the Jiulong Pavilion to search, but Wu Xianer arrived first, using her position as an official to barge in. However, when she opened the door, she found herself face to face with her mother, Wei Xuanmin (Su Xuan Zhen Ren). Wei Xuanmin told her she was not looking for anyone here, and before Li Jun could ask more, King Kangping, Wu Youjing, arrived.
Out of respect for Wu Youjing’s status, Li Jun was forced to retreat. Thanks to Su Xuan Zhen Ren's intervention, Wu Youjing had to tread carefully, giving Ye Ping'an and the others enough time to change their location. If Su Xuan Zhen Ren could be called down the mountain, it meant Ye Ping'an knew the secrets of the royal family. How did she come to know this?
King Kangping asked Yuan Shaocheng for his opinion on the matter, and Yuan Shaocheng candidly admitted that there was a traitor in the household. Wu Xianer suspected the traitor was Yuan Shaocheng himself, but Yuan Shaocheng rebutted that she was just angry over losing to Ye Ping'an. Meanwhile, He Maoshan rushed back with news that he had found Huang Yimin’s son, Huang Qi, and had followed him to meet with Huang Yimin for business.
Huang Yimin had 50,000 stones of salt but demanded a face-to-face meeting with King Kangping. Wu Xianer offered to negotiate with Huang Yimin, but Wu Youjing refused to let her interfere. Yuan Shaocheng privately instructed Gu Wenyu to find Ye Ping'an as soon as possible and bring her to Dali Temple for severe interrogation. Gu Wenyu hesitated, wondering if it was too harsh, but Yuan Shaocheng remained silent.
Huang Yimin arrived from Caozhou and hid in the East Mountain, requesting a meeting with King Kangping. Wu Youjing arrived as planned but first sent a man pretending to be him to test Huang Yimin. Huang Yimin quickly realized it was an imposter, and Wu Youjing appeared in person.
Huang Yimin agreed to sell salt to King Kangping at 100 wen per stone, but his condition was that King Kangping secure an official position for his son, Huang Qi, in the capital. Wu Youjing agreed, arranging for Huang Qi to be appointed as a clerk in the city’s salt office, tasked with recording the official salt transactions.
Wu Xianer instructed General Xian to prepare a large quantity of Thunder Fire, but it would take two months to produce the desired amount. Yuan Shaocheng sent Wu Xianer a letter, and after reading it, Wu Xianer realized that Yuan Shaocheng had finally yielded to her, which pleased her greatly. She accepted him into her fold. Huang Qi began copying the official salt transactions but did not do so accurately. Yuan Shaocheng returned to Mangou, opened a secret passage, and inside, he found Ye Ping'an and her companions.
