Jin Xi'er passionately kissed Lan Chen but got angry when she remembered that he had regarded her as his sister. She slapped him and left in sorrow. Lan Chen chased after her, wanting to take her home, but she told him her birthday was indeed today, and he hadn't forgotten it, but her birthday was yesterday. Lan Chen ordered Jin Xi'er to get out of the car, but she refused.
Jin Xi'er fell asleep in the taxi, and when she woke up, she saw billboards with Lan Chen's image and news about him on her phone. She angrily exclaimed that she had been playing the role of his sister all along and had genuinely fallen in love with him. She didn't know how to be with him.
Returning home, she found her sister waiting to celebrate their birthday together. Jin Xi'er sadly explained that their birthdays were just ten minutes apart, and today was her birthday, with yesterday being her sister's. She decided to let Jin Xi'en go to work by herself, saying she had been doing everything for her sister her whole life, receiving nothing but complaints and no gratitude. Her mother asked if she had encountered something troubling, and Jin Xi'er simply wished Jin Xi'en a happy birthday and returned to her room.
Lan Chen sat alone, eating cake and reminiscing about the kiss he shared with Jin Xi'er. He felt unsatisfied, while Jin Xi'er spent a sleepless night. Jin Xi'er went to Lin Feng's taekwondo studio, and Jin Xi'en, as promised, went to Lan Chen's office, addressing him as "CEO."
