Lan Chen collapsed in front of Jin Xi'er, and she was worried about taking him home. Zeng Huaishi was also concerned about Jin Xi'er and offered to accompany her in taking Lan Chen home. As they were leaving, Lan Chen held her hand and pleaded with his secretary not to go. Jin Xi'er was running a fever and fainted in Zeng Huaishi's arms.
Zeng Huaishi carried Jin Xi'er to her room and reassured her not to worry. He told her to rest, and he would take care of the rest.
The next day, Lan Chen and Zeng Huaishi prepared breakfast, both claiming that it was for Jin Xi'er. When Jin Xi'er woke up and learned that Lan Chen had been guarding her all night, she was delighted. Zeng Huaishi made breakfast for Jin Xi'er, and they shared a playful moment of tasting each other's dishes, which lightened her mood.
Lan Chen teased the adorable interaction between Zeng Huaishi and Jin Xi'er. Both men competed to be attentive to her by moving a chair for her. Jin Xi'er praised the taste of the sandwich. Lan Chen arrived at the office and was surprised to find macarons on his desk. When Jin Xi'er suddenly appeared behind him, he was startled. He wondered if she could teleport; she had returned to work so quickly.
