Lan Chen, Zeng Huaishi, and Jin Xi'er had a video conference. Zeng Huaishi approved of the new product but felt that it lacked a soul. Lan Chen became angry, accusing Zeng Huaishi of not genuinely cooperating and told him not to waste both parties' time. Lan Chen coughed excitedly, and Zeng Huaishi advised him to take care of his health. WE Beauty was still under assessment, and cooperation could only happen after passing.
Lan Chen believed that the reason Zeng Huaishi insulted him in the meeting was due to the lack of a marriage alliance between their families. Yuan Ge secretly enjoyed this situation, while Lan's mother proactively arranged for Jin Xi'er and Lan Chen to have dinner together, leaving her and Yuan Ge to dine separately.

Jin Xi'er then told her sister that she had rejected Lan Chen's confession, even though it was her who had been confessed to. She felt that her sister should have the opportunity to compete fairly. Upon learning that Zeng Huaishi had vetoed their new product, Jin Xi'er decided to help her sister. Jin Xi'er bumped into Lan Chen as she left the restroom. Lan Chen asked if she had changed her clothes, and Jin Xi'er awkwardly smiled, going along with Lan Chen to have a meal. She expressed her perspective on the product's essence, causing Lan Chen to suspect that his secretary might have a split personality.
