Since the meeting between Di Chengen and Han Ye at Caiwei Pavilion, she had become the hottest candidate in the Crown Princess selection game. It was rumored in the capital city that she had endured ten years of imprisonment in Daishan, and coupled with Han Ye's decades of persistence, the people sighed at their bitter fate and unwavering love. However, Di Chengen's ambitious plan to manipulate Han Ye had already gone beyond Luo Mingxi's control. So, Luo Mingxi decided to take the opportunity to eliminate her and frame Gu Yunnian.

Ren Anle firmly refused, believing that while Di Chengen indeed had suffered, it was unacceptable to sacrifice innocent lives to pursue the position of Crown Princess. Luo Mingxi couldn't persuade Ren Anle and had no choice but to agree to spare Di Chengen's life for now. But if she attempted any further actions to disrupt their plans, they wouldn't show mercy.

The siblings hadn't seen each other for several years, but their feelings remained deep. Cold North still had a mission to continue undercover near An Ning and reminded Mo Shuang not to vie for the position of Crown Princess, falsely claiming that the Crown Prince was extremely ugly.

The news about Han Ye's deep affection for Di Chengen had spread throughout the capital city. Di Chengen was delighted and declared that he was the only one she had in her heart, not Di Ziyuan. Ren Anle rushed over after hearing the commotion and intended to take Di Chengen away, but a group of black-clad individuals descended upon them, surrounding them heavily. Mu Qing arrived in time as well, but Ren Anle got injured during the process. Fortunately, her injuries weren't severe. The black-clad individuals realized the situation wasn't in their favor and left Caiwei Pavilion. Unexpectedly, Lin Lang had already been waiting around the corner and quickly killed them, leaving one person to interrogate about their origins. However, the person chose to commit suicide by poisoning. At the entrance of Caiwei Pavilion, Ren Anle found Lin Lang's handkerchief and was surprised to see Qianyue Pavilion involved in the matter. In contrast, Di Chengen was frightened when she saw the note Mu Qing received, which depicted a red umbrella.

Han Ye met privately with Luo Mingxi and lamented why Di Ziyuan had become someone unrecognizable. However, he thought that enduring ten years of solitude in Daishan might be too difficult for an ordinary person, and he would keep his promise to make Di Ziyuan the Crown Princess. Facing Luo Mingxi's doubts, Han Ye admitted that he did indeed have feelings for Ren Anle and was destined to disappoint her and her 30,000 naval troops.
