An Ning tried to persuade Ren Anle to live on as she is now and not revert to being Di Ziyuan, but Ren Anle firmly refused. Han Ye also tried to convince Ren Anle, but their conversation reopened old wounds, and Han Ye left in silence. Di Chengen met with the Left Chancellor, only to be surprised to see Luo Mingxi instead. In front of Emperor Jia Chang, Di Chengen proposed to confess the crimes of the Di family during the Crown Princess's investiture ceremony and thank the Han family for their grace. On the other hand, Zhong Hai met Ren Anle, learned her true identity, and promised to testify for her. To deal with Di Chengen's confession, Ren Anle planned to merge the investiture ceremony with the Empress Dowager's birthday banquet.

Years ago, the Han family exterminated the Di family, and Han Ye single-handedly protected Ren Anle, leading to his imprisonment by Han Zhongyuan in the palace for several months, enduring unimaginable suffering. Luo Mingxi informed Ren Anle of this, hoping she would make a heartfelt choice: to continue seeking revenge or to stop here. However, no matter which path she chose, she would owe the other side. Despite being moved, Ren Anle still chose to clear the Di family's name and declared that she had cut ties with Han Ye after leaving the valley.

Although Han Ye wanted to call off the marriage, it had become a settled matter. He could only reminisce about the happy times they spent together and vowed to protect Di Ziyuan forever. On the other hand, An Ning went to see Ren Anle, straightforwardly advising her to live on as Ren Anle and not dwell on revenge. However, she received rejection from Ren Anle.

An Ning had not been able to let go of her guilt towards the Di family's army, so how could she ask Ren Anle to ignore the grievances of the Di family's army?
