The Legend of Anle Episode 36 Recap
> The Legend of Anle Recap
Ren Anle had been unconscious for several consecutive days, causing great worry for Yuan Qin and Yuan Shu. Luo Mingxi and Wen Shuo came to visit one after another, staying by her side. After a few more days, Ren Anle woke up with silver hair, shocking everyone. She then personally went to see Han Zhongyuan and candidly spoke about the sins of the imperial family, stating that the blame was not on the present but on a certain day in the past.
Upon hearing that Wen Shuo was Emperor Jin Yan, Han Zhongyuan was both shocked and amused that Han Ye had done so much for the imperial family. He agreed to legitimize Luo Mingxi and Jin Yan's names, on the condition that Wen Shuo must remain in the capital as a hostage, and Ren Anle would never set foot in the city. Though Han Zhongyuan and Jing An Marquis were once close friends, the allure of imperial power blinded him, and he gradually lost trust in the imperial family. Compared to the Han family, the imperial family was more qualified to vie for supremacy.
With this arrangement, the imperial family had nothing to fear about accusations, but few knew of their unwavering loyalty. One day, they would force their way to rule the world and expand their territories. In the past, the empress dowager had exterminated the entire imperial family to secure Han Zhongyuan's throne. Now, Han Zhongyuan was willing to sever the lifeline of the imperial family for his son, Han Ye, to become the crown prince.
Upon hearing this, Ren Anle was furious but then smiled. She solemnly stated that the imperial family was willing to submit and promised that there would be no repeat of Han Zhongyuan's concerns. They wished to prevent another tragedy and bring peace to Da Jing Chang'an. However, Han Zhongyuan had no right to decide her and Wen Shuo's fate.
After leaving the palace, Ren Anle took Wen Shuo to meet Emperor Shengtian and officially acknowledge their ancestry. With Emperor Shengtian's generation, Ren Anle became the new head of the imperial family. Emperor Shengtian told her about his past with Han Zi'an and persuaded Ren Anle and Han Ye not to repeat their mistakes, as there was still hope despite the long wait.
Meanwhile, Han Ye survived the cliff fall but was saved by Mo Shuang. He became blind due to severe poisoning. Mo Shuang never left his side, caring for him patiently. She blamed herself for the war between the two countries, believing she was the true cause of Princess An Ning's death. Han Ye knew that Mo Shuang was pure-hearted and everything she did was for Bei Qin's sake, fulfilling her duties. He had no complaints about her actions.
Now that Luo Mingxi and Wen Shuo had regained their status, Luo Mingxi asked Ren Anle about her plans for the future. Ren Anle firmly believed that as long as Han Ye's body was not found, she would believe that he was still alive. If there were no news in the near future, she would personally search for him. On the other hand, Mo Shuang had not found a way to cure her eyes, so Han Ye earnestly asked her not to reveal the news of his survival to the outside world.
Upon hearing that Ren Anle took Wen Shuo to Fuling Mountain, Han Zhongyuan hurried to meet her. He anxiously asked her a long-buried question. Over the years, Han Zhongyuan had never truly been at ease, holding grudges against the dismissal decree issued by Emperor Shengtian and Han Zi'an. It was this that led to his distrust of Emperor Yongning to such an extent. But Emperor Shengtian found it amusing, saying there was never such a decree. He asked Han Zhongyuan to look at the dark green iron sword where the answer he sought lay. Following this advice, Han Zhongyuan discovered the truth - the late emperor's abdication decree was not about dethroning the ruler, but about ensuring his continued reign. Realizing this, Han Zhongyuan felt regretful.
Far in the northwest corner, Mo Shuang made some wishing lanterns by hand. Han Ye knew and asked her for one, writing down his wish by instinct. Curious about his wish, Mo Shuang asked, but Han Ye remained silent. As the lantern rose slowly, the character "帝" (Emperor) was reflected in the clear blue sky.
