However, just before he was about to leave, Yin Chuan hurriedly ran in, saying that Wang Yangming had been found—he was in the outskirts of Yuezhou. Since everyone had been searching for clues about Wang Yangming, now that they had one, Lu Yun immediately stood up and decided to focus on the case.
He visited Luo Lingyu before leaving, unsure if he could make it back in time for the Flower Goddess Festival. Luo Lingyu wasn’t upset at all; instead, she encouraged Lu Yun to focus on his work, saying that even without his vote, she could still succeed. Before he left, Lu Yun gave her a glass bangle he had prepared for her. Luo Lingyu put it on, admiring the bangle in the sunlight. It sparkled brightly, and she felt immense joy.
Luo Lingyu, along with her sister and Lingxi, went to the competition venue. It was the first time she had visited such an elaborate place, and she was filled with excitement. Prince Hengyang also came to support her. She saw that many people had placed bets on Chen Niangzi, but Prince Hengyang publicly bet fifty taels of silver on Luo Lingyu’s name. He personally inspected Luo Lingyu's dressing room and found it to be rather simple.

Gao Yuan managed to rescue Lu Yun, but due to being poisoned by mist, Lu Yun’s vision was blurry, and the situation was critical.
They had originally planned to go to a medical hall, but Lu Yun insisted on being taken directly to the Flower Goddess Festival. Luo Lingyu had prepared two dances for the competition. Since the chessboard dance had already been performed by someone else, she had to choose an alternative. She quickly changed the theme to "Carp Dance" and asked her friends to dim the lights in the hall.
Then, she opened a window and hung her glass bangle in the center of it. As the sunlight passed through the bangle, it created a dazzling, neon effect in the venue, making it feel as though everyone was standing on a shimmering sea. The visual effect was stunning. Zhou Yangling began to strike the chime bells, accompanying the beautiful dance. Luo Lingyu first set up a layer of gauze in front of her, giving a mysterious and hazy feeling.
Then, she danced forward, half-hidden, as if holding a pipa, her movements elegant and dreamlike. Luo Lingyu’s and Chen Niangzi’s performances were both exceptional, but the unique stage design and choreography made Luo Lingyu's performance stand out. Anyone with a discerning eye could tell who had performed the best. Prince Hengyang happily informed the Emperor, confident that he would win this time. Although Luo Lingyu’s performance was outstanding, the judges’ initial scores were not favorable.
Luo Lingyu gathered her courage and explained the process behind the choreography and the touching story behind it, hoping for a fair judgment. Just then, Lu Yun stepped forward. Struggling to reach the stage, he began to rally votes for Luo Lingyu.
