Lu Yun publicly commented on Luo Lingyu’s dance, giving it high praise. He said her movements were graceful and extraordinary. However, Chen Niangzi, sitting in the audience, questioned him, asking if he had watched the entire performance or just caught part of it. She argued that giving a hasty judgment might be unfair. Lu Yun acknowledged her concern and decided to let the audience vote instead. In the audience, the Emperor also gave a fair evaluation.
He invited the viewers to choose their favorite Flower Goddess, and with the Emperor's support in gathering votes, many people cast their ballots for Luo Lingyu. In the end, Luo Lingyu won the title of Flower Goddess. The Emperor asked her what her wish was. Luo Lingyu respectfully performed a deep bow and then explained that her father had died while defending the country, leaving only herself and her sister behind.
According to the law, the Luo family’s assets were under government management, and she now wished to request permission to withdraw them as an unmarried woman. This request was easy for the Emperor to grant, and he immediately agreed. He also publicly betrothed Luo Lingyu to Prince Hengyang as his future wife. Luo Lingyu and Lu Yun were both deeply upset.

However, she accidentally spilled the hot water onto him, causing him to jump up in the bath in pain. Zhou Yangling screamed in shock and quickly ran out. Chang Yiwang, seeing her flustered reaction, had already guessed that Zhou Yangling was a woman. However, given the awkward situation, he decided not to reveal her secret of cross-dressing for now. The next morning, Lu Yun sat up in bed and was astonished to find that he could see again.
The day before, Luo Lingyu had shown great concern for him, speaking in a much gentler tone than usual. Not wanting to miss the opportunity, Lu Yun asked Yin Chuan to bring him some cloth strips so that he could continue pretending to be blind. Soon after, Luo Lingyu came to visit. She helped him out of bed and guided him to the courtyard for some fresh air. At that moment, Prince Hengyang also arrived and immediately took Lu Yun by the arm, leading him to a table in the pavilion.
