This cleared up the doubts in Lu Yun's mind. He had been cautious of her background and identity, but if she was just trying to escape an unwanted marriage, it was more understandable and forgivable. Back in her courtyard, Lingxi showed Luo Lingyu a box of clothes that Jin Chuan had sent. The box contained fine satin fabrics, and Luo Lingyu had wanted to buy such cloth earlier that day but had been short on money.
Now, someone had sent them to her. Luo Lingyu was confused about Lu Yun's intentions. She had already warned him in the carriage not to judge her through colored glasses or with pitying eyes. Jin Chuan excitedly informed Lu Yun that he had delivered the fabrics and jewelry to Luo Lingyu’s courtyard. Lu Yun was very surprised.
