Xuanyuan Lige had not given up on the idea of going to war with Jun Beiyue. He even planned to form an alliance with the Xueyu region, instructing Madam Qin to send a letter. Though Madam Qin was puzzled, Xuanyuan Lige simply said that his mind was made up. Meanwhile, Han Ziqing was playing the qin in her room. Hongyi had noticed that Shiliang had been acting strangely recently, frequently visiting Lady Wan’s room.

She brought this up with Han Ziqing, who seemed to already have a plan in mind. Han Ziqing simply explained that it was normal for Shiliang to act out occasionally since she had never received much education, and she would find a chance to speak with her about it. Sensing that Han Ziqing had things under control, Hongyi didn’t press further. Later, Lady Wan came over, saying she had been drawn in by Han Ziqing’s music.

Noticing Han Ziqing’s dagger, Lady Wan inquired about it. Han Ziqing quickly explained that Jun Beiyue had given it to her and that she knew it had originally belonged to Lady Wan. She hoped Lady Wan wouldn’t mind. Lady Wan replied that it didn’t matter where the dagger was kept. Han Ziqing mentioned she had seen the dagger with her mother before, and Lady Wan asked if her mother’s name was Mu Ci.

Han Ziqing was shocked that Lady Wan knew her mother. Lady Wan, too, was surprised but explained that she and Han Ziqing’s mother had been good friends, and that the dagger had originally come from her, so now it had rightfully returned to its owner. Lady Wan also mentioned that Han Ziqing’s music sounded familiar, saying she had heard her mother play before, though she didn’t know much beyond its connection to a place called "Wuxie Abyss.

"Lady Wan soon learned that Han Ziqing and Jun Beiyue were planning a trip to Wuxie Abyss and offered to join them. She decided to bring Shiliang along as well, hinting to Shiliang that she would help her, prompting Shiliang to pledge her loyalty on the spot. As everyone was preparing to depart, the King sent someone to summon Jun Beiyue.

Unable to refuse, Jun Beiyue suggested delaying the trip, but Lady Wan proposed that they set off first and let Jun Beiyue catch up later. He agreed. On the journey, Baili Weisheng felt something was off about Lady Wan, though he couldn’t pinpoint exactly what. They soon arrived at their destination, but the area was so deep that it seemed bottomless. Baili Weisheng suggested they rest and wait for Jun Beiyue to arrive before proceeding.

Han Ziqing agreed, but Lady Wan insisted on going ahead. Left with no choice, Han Ziqing followed. Not long after they descended, they were ambushed. The attackers claimed this was the "Mitianshen Sea" and that outsiders were not allowed. Lady Wan’s assassin was confused, as the books had mentioned that the Golden Jiao had already been exterminated, so how was it possible that people still resided in the Golden Jiao Palace?

The assailants weren’t particularly skilled, and Han Ziqing quickly dealt with them. However, their leader’s mother soon appeared and surrounded Han Ziqing and the others, escalating the conflict. Baili Weisheng realized that the attackers were Silver Jiao. Suddenly, Baili Weisheng heard a mysterious voice telling him that the Silver Jiao’s weakness was their navel. However, he could not see the woman who had been sealed nearby. Before long, the Silver Jiao suffered heavy losses.

Lady Wan took advantage of the chaos and attempted to harm Han Ziqing, but Xiaosheng noticed and rushed out to protect her. The Silver Jiao retaliated, and Baili Weisheng was forced to reveal his Golden Jiao powers. The sealed woman even called him "son.

" Upon seeing this, the Silver Jiao immediately bowed in submission, stating that the dagger in Han Ziqing’s hand was made from Golden Jiao scales, and that it was the island people who had caused the Golden Jiao’s demise. The sealed woman warned Baili Weisheng not to believe them, but he couldn’t hear her and chose to trust them instead. Jun Beiyue arrived just in time, but Han Ziqing was already injured.

Jun Beiyue asked his mother to break the barrier and free Han Ziqing, but Lady Wan, appearing weak, claimed she couldn’t do it. Helpless, Jun Beiyue could only watch as Han Ziqing was captured. Jun Beiyue took everyone to Liuxian Island to recuperate. Lady Wan seemed unwell, but the island’s master was quite pleased. Knowing that Xiaosheng wouldn’t wake up too soon, Lady Wan signaled Shiliang to take some action.
