One day, his men reported that they had discovered a secret sign left by Lu Wen in the city. Cui Xingzhou carefully examined it and noticed a few small characters indicating the time and place of departure. He was thrilled, thinking that the moment to capture Lu Wen was near.

To avoid alarming the enemy, he discreetly deployed his elite troops to the meeting location. However, a spy reported some movement from Liu Miantang’s side, suggesting that she was about to leave in a hurry. Cui Xingzhou prepared a fast horse and quietly followed her, only to discover that she was meeting his friend Zhao Quan. The two of them then entered a bamboo grove together.
