The next day, Fang Li had already packed up and was ready to go to the company. However, An Yushen, in order to protect the company’s security, specifically suggested that Fang Li stay at home from now on. Even though he once again mentioned that he had invested fifty million, An Yushen deflected the issue with the matter of crude oil.
Fang Li was speechless and realized that for now, she could only find a way to solve things from home. Lin Lu saw Feng Zhixing waiting outside for An Yushen. Feng Zhixing was An Yushen’s personal driver, so it was easy for him to obtain information from him. Every time Feng Zhixing looked at Lin Lu, there were little stars in his eyes.
Lin Lu decided to use her charm, so she took the initiative to invite Feng Zhixing to dinner. In Feng Zhixing’s eyes, Lin Lu was as pure and innocent as an angel. Since the beauty had made an invitation, he dressed up specially to go meet her. Previously, Yin Zhiluo had always called to invite him, but he had always made excuses. Luo Yan would not allow An Yushen to show off in front of his father. First, he asked Lin Lu to find out An Yushen’s recent movements, then secretly contacted the suppliers for Xinglong Supermarket. Using underhanded methods, he pressured the suppliers not to deliver to Xinglong. When An Yushen heard his subordinates making phone calls and learned that the suppliers had suddenly stopped their deliveries, he immediately realized that someone was secretly causing trouble.
Just then, he received a call from his father, who was going to inspect the supermarket, with Luo Yan also planning to accompany him. An Yushen understood that Luo Yan was behind this. Now, he had to deal with his father’s inspection, so he called the manager and instructed him to move all the goods from the warehouse and refill the gaps on the display shelves. An Xiangyang was very satisfied with the surprise inspection.
Fang Li couldn’t let An Yushen succeed. She recalled that for the past few days, his grandmother had been pushing her to take lady-like lessons, which made her back sore and tired. She decided it was time to punish him. Fang Li bought a small game item from Aotian that transformed her into a seven- or eight-year-old girl. She quickly ran out and secretly handed a note to Luo Yan, exposing the situation with the warehouse.
Luo Yan immediately seized the opportunity to inform his father, and upon seeing the empty warehouse, An Yushen hurriedly admitted his mistake, saying that he was coordinating a solution. He had just taken over Longxing and still needed time to sort things out. An Xiangyang didn’t punish him further. Fang Li, now a little girl, would need twenty-four hours to return to her original form. She was starving and reluctantly returned to the Xinglong supermarket.
Though she knew what it meant to take something without money, she mocked herself for being the "lady boss" there, and it was only natural for the boss's wife to "take" something. She had just picked up a can of chips when the supermarket’s security staff spotted her. Just as she was about to be caught, An Yushen arrived. He explained that the girl was his relative, and just like that, the supposed theft was brushed aside.
After the security staff left, An Yushen took the little girl around the supermarket, treating her to some food. He corrected her, saying that what she had done was dangerous—no matter the circumstances, one should never take things without paying. He also shared that he had grown up in poverty and that it was his mother’s hard work that had led to his current position. As he spoke, he patiently taught Fang Li how to fold paper cranes.
Just as she was about to revert to her original form, the little girl quickly said her goodbyes. Once back to being Fang Li, she found that she felt an inexplicable affection for An Yushen. She asked Aotian about it and learned that at the time, An Yushen hadn’t known her true identity. Fang Li felt that An Yushen was inherently kind, just cold on the outside but warm on the inside.
