To protect Tu Shanjing, Wen Xiaoliu had no choice but to return and face the situation. Upon Cang Xuan's command, two guards broke her legs and threw her into a prison cart. Tu Shanjing was unconscious, and Wen Xiaoliu endured the pain to feed him blood for healing. Although she was already developing feelings for him, she knew that emotions could bring both sweetness and bitterness. Having experienced so much suffering in her life, she didn't want to continue down that path.

When Tu Shanjing regained consciousness, he realized that Wen Xiaoliu had used her blood to heal him and understood the origin of the red mark on her neck. He learned that Xiang Liu had sucked her blood for healing, and it was not what he had misunderstood. This revelation relieved Tu Shanjing's heart, and he advised Wen Xiaoliu not to use such a method again.

Soon, they arrived at Haoling Kingdom's Dragon Bone Prison, where Cang Xuan ordered Wen Xiaoliu and Tu Shanjing to be imprisoned. The dungeon was located deep within the mountain, with no light source and filled with despair after thousands of years. Tu Shanjing used his magic to create several flower-shaped lamps, providing gentle light to soothe Wen Xiaoliu's emotional distress.

Originally, Wen Xiaoliu wanted to take this opportunity to clarify their relationship and not involve Tu Shanjing. However, Tu Shanjing insisted on not leaving her, already knowing Wen Xiaoliu's true identity as a woman, and he had developed feelings for her. So, Tu Shanjing explained that he had never liked Xingling Xie and that he would break off the engagement once they returned, asking Wen Xiaoliu to give him fifteen years to return to Ye Shiqi. He wanted her not to let any other man into her heart.

Upon hearing this, Wen Xiaoliu was completely touched and, while half-jokingly, said that her heart was as hard as a shell and that no man would enter it for fifty years. They pledged their agreement by clapping their hands, and Tu Shanjing held Wen Xiaoliu's hand tightly, vowing that even if she didn't accept him, he would wait for her all his life.

Suddenly, there was a commotion outside, and Cang Xuan's men took Wen Xiaoliu away on a stretcher, while Tu Shanjing was carried by Zhu Dong. Xiang Liu sensed that something had happened to Wen Xiaoliu and hurried to Wushen Mountain. He crossed the boundless sea and arrived, suggesting that Wen Xiaoliu should jump into the sea and follow him. However, considering that there were many water-controlling gods in Wushen Mountain, and Tu Shanjing would undoubtedly be caught and tortured by them, Wen Xiaoliu politely refused Xiang Liu's offer, promising that she was cowardly and would never owe him any debt.

Outside the Cheng'en Palace, Wen Xiaoliu's heart was in turmoil as she remembered the scenes of playing with her mother in her childhood, causing her eyes to redden with tears. Later, Tu Shanjing and Wen Xiaoliu were arranged to rest in Cang Xuan's palace. A physician examined Wen Xiaoliu's legs, and she changed into clean clothes. As the sun set in the west, Princess Haoling summoned Wen Xiaoliu and carefully observed her disguised appearance, but still couldn't figure out the truth. Wen Xiaoliu dared not meet Princess Haoling's gaze, fearing that he might recognize her. At the same time, she felt a bit wronged. Princess Haoling knew that Cang Xuan had ordered Wen Xiaoliu's legs to be broken, so he decided to let them have dinner here.

Princess Haoling didn't eat much and didn't drink alcohol. He carried himself with dignity and grace, and both Cang Xuan and Tu Shanjing behaved similarly. He had previously ordered cruel torture on Wen Xiaoliu and didn't hesitate to have her legs broken. Yet, she still protected him and risked her life to save him. Even so, he still suspected that her actions were just a scheme, a ploy of gratitude. Masked for too long, he had been blinded by cruelty in his heart. Cang Xuan remained silent and channeled spiritual energy to Wen Xiaoliu's injuries. Wen Xiaoliu endured the tears until Cang Xuan left alone, then finally couldn't help but cry.
