Quickly, Wen Xiaoliu chased after him and explained, eventually calming Cang Xuan down.

The siblings reunited after a long separation, reminiscing about old times. Cang Xuan intended to take Wen Xiaoliu back to the Chenrong Kingdom, but she gently declined. Wen Xiaoliu wished to stay and take care of Tu Shanjing, concerned about his well-being. During their conversation, she mentioned Xiang Liu sacrificing himself to save her. Cang Xuan revealed that Xiang Liu didn't save her without reason; he intended to exchange her rescue for a peak of the Chenrong Mountain.

Wen Xiaoliu's heart felt a mix of complex emotions—uncertainty and acceptance. She realized that Xiang Liu never acted without a purpose, even when saving her. Meanwhile, Xiang Liu managed to obtain the rare Dragon Tendons for forging. Golden Tianxing promised to craft the bow and arrows he desired within three months.

To celebrate Wen Xiaoliu's return, Chishui Fenglong and Chenrong Xinyue prepared a lavish feast while inquiring about Tu Shanjing's condition. Wen Xiaoliu expressed confidence in saving Tu Shanjing's life, though it would take some time. Suddenly, Yujiang entered the room, startling Wen Xiaoliu. She mistakenly thought he was an assassin, only to learn that he was a trusted subordinate of Cang Xuan.

Knowing Yujiang had important news, Chenrong Xinyue left with Wen Xiaoliu. Yujiang felt guilty for not meeting Cang Xuan's expectations. Soon, news of Wen Xiaoliu's awakening reached both the Xiyan Kingdom and the Haoling Kingdom. The King of Xiyan felt relieved and pardoned some prisoners, hoping for his granddaughter's blessings. Wen Xiaoliu took Tu Shanjing to a pavilion for some fresh air, combing his hair and singing softly. Tu Shanjing slowly opened his eyes, gazing at her with tears of emotion. He held her tightly, expressing his desire to be with her regardless of social status.

Wen Xiaoliu's greatest wish was genuine companionship, whether from her grandfather or Cang Xuan. She understood their motives and longed for Tu Shanjing's honest affection, hoping to open her own heart in return.

He also declared that he would confess everything to his grandmother, even if it meant giving up his status, just to be with Wen Xiaoliu. Cang Xuan disagreed, driven by personal motives and the potential benefits of Tu Shanjing's status.

Chishui Fenglong, astute but oblivious to matters of the heart, finally realized Tu Shanjing's feelings for Wen Xiaoliu. Enraged, he confronted Tu Shanjing, accusing him of coveting Wen Xiaoliu despite knowing Chishui Fenglong's feelings. A fight broke out, but Cang Xuan intervened and ordered his men to take Chishui Fenglong away, reminding Tu Shanjing to resolve his own marriage matters.

Wen Xiaoliu arrived and overheard the conversation between Tu Shanjing and Cang Xuan. She defended Tu Shanjing passionately. Later, she followed Cang Xuan to a hill covered with phoenix flowers. She emphasized that his lack of wealth didn't matter, as he was penniless when they first met. Cang Xuan respected her choice, though he left feeling dejected.
