Waking up in the morning, Qi Junye (played by Chen Xun) stretched his arms, attempting to get up. However, his arms were bound to the table, restricting his movements. Qi Junye had to twist his neck to free himself from the tie that was fastened to the table. As he touched the headband he had worn the previous night, he reminisced about his drunken antics when he had playfully asked Jiang Shishi (played by Zhu Jiaqian) to help him brush his teeth and wash his face. Suddenly, he heard a loud crack, and a sharp pain shot through his neck as he turned it abruptly. Regret washed over him as he wondered what he had done.
At the company, Jiang Shishi coincidentally crossed paths with Qi Junye, but both of them pretended not to notice each other. Qi Junye casually grabbed a nearby flowerpot and began spraying water. When Jiang Shishi walked away, Qi Junye realized that he had accidentally sprayed all the water onto a female employee's face, making him feel embarrassed. He quickly left the scene.
Sitting at her desk, Jiang Shishi received an invitation from the prestigious DK Group in the jewelry industry. Without hesitation, she declined the offer. However, as soon as she hung up the phone, she realized that it was the renowned DK Group. Despite this, she had no regrets; it wasn't the right time for her to leave the Junye Group.
Facing the newly entered Junye Group in the jewelry industry, DK Group's CEO Lin Mochen (played by Wang Jiayu) didn't pay much attention, but he couldn't underestimate Qi Junye. He needed to eliminate him as soon as possible, and Jiang Shishi, as Qi Junye's weakness, became a significant focus for Lin Mochen.
Lin Mochen arrived at the Junye Group in a red Ferrari, holding a bouquet of roses, which drew attention. He waited until Jiang Shishi appeared and, with a bouquet of roses in hand, declared his love for her. Jiang Shishi replied that she wasn't planning to date anyone, but Lin Mochen handed her his business card, revealing his affiliation with DK Group. This revelation shocked Jiang Shishi, but she still turned down Lin Mochen's invitation. Qi Junye, who had witnessed everything, was present in the background.
Despite being rejected, Lin Mochen didn't give up. He continued to send different flowers to Jiang Shishi every day, but the outcome remained the same each time. Seeing his love rival's persistence, Qi Junye decided to take matters into his own hands. When he returned home, he saw tulips on the table and promptly threw them into the trash bin. Jiang Shishi, noticing her purchased flowers in the trash, became agitated. Qi Junye, hearing that they were the flowers he had bought, retrieved the tulips from the trash.
