Shi Xun stated that Mu Bai's words lacked evidence to prove their claims, but he had documents on hand. Unexpectedly, Wen Lan brought her uncle Wen Xiu Yuan, revealing that he had already regained consciousness. Wen Xiu Yuan explained that he and Wen Qing had researched those achievements together. Mu Bai mentioned that although he didn't understand why Shi Xun had a document signed by Wen Qing, the document was invalid.
Mu Bai played an audio recording where Zhuang Wencheng admitted that he had destroyed Wen Qing's experiments due to his lack of work and wounded pride. He also confessed to tricking Wen Qing into signing the document and apologized to Wen Lan, expressing his regret.
After everything was resolved, Wen Lan and Mu Bai went back. Wen Lan was happy that these issues were finally settled. She found a book about pursuing girlfriends on her bed and questioned Mu Bai about it, then kissed him.
While Wen Lan was busy in the laboratory, Mu Bai came to pick her up downstairs. He called her to ask why she hadn't come down yet, and Wen Lan explained that she had finished her work and was coming down soon. Suddenly, Shi Xun appeared in the laboratory, holding a knife and threatening Wen Lan. He was determined not to give up after all his efforts and demanded Wen Lan to hand over the data.
Mu Bai rushed over and fought with Shi Xun, with Wen Lan joining in to help. Eventually, they managed to subdue Shi Xun.
