Originally, the rescue mission was coming to an end, and Gu Yunzheng was hesitant. However, he now had a new choice, which was to stay in Rakaya for Su Weian and give up returning to his home country. Su Weian felt a complex mix of emotions upon hearing this. She quietly left the tent and, accompanied by Gu Yunzheng, watched the sunrise. Gu Yunzheng promised to spend the rest of his life with her.

On the way back, Su Weian looked at Gu Yunzheng's profile and reminisced about their moments together. Although she was moved by Gu Yunzheng's commitment, she also felt a hint of regret. Due to her illness, Su Weian didn't dare to expect too much for the future and was content with the present moment.

Upon learning that Gu Yunzheng had a girlfriend, Grandpa no longer held a grudge about his absence at the birthday banquet. He even started planning for a wedding room, leaving Gu Yunzheng somewhat amused. Over the years, Gu Yunzheng had never been able to share a cake with anyone, until he met Su Weian. He felt relieved that he had found a life partner. Gu Yunzheng sent a message to Su Weian, inviting her for a cake date on the rooftop that night. Curious Jiang Muying was eager to know about Su Weian and Gu Yunzheng's relationship.

At this moment, Su Weian received a call from her mother, and she learned that her aunt, Su Yuan, had just experienced a Huntington's disease episode. This news pushed her into a dark abyss, and her heart grew heavy. However, her mother hadn't noticed her distress and believed that Su Weian was studying in France. She urged her to come back and visit her aunt.

In the end, Su Weian decided to pack her things and return to her home country that very night. Before leaving, she confided everything to Jiang Muying and instructed her not to tell Gu Yunzheng. Although it tore Su Weian apart, she didn't want to burden him, so she left the friendly hospital with her luggage.

Meanwhile, Gu Yunzheng was preparing a grand confession ceremony on the hospital rooftop but hadn't seen Su Weian's arrival. He called her, but she didn't answer. Jiang Muying informed him that Su Weian had left without saying a word. Gu Yunzheng rushed to the airport, but Su Weian had already boarded a flight to China, refusing to answer her phone and turning it off. Gu Yunzheng stood there in disappointment.

After returning to China, Su Weian met her aunt, Su Yuan, and noticed that the room's layout hadn't changed since her childhood. When her father had died in a car accident years ago, Su Weian had reviewed surveillance footage and observed that her father's hands seemed uncontrollable. It was later revealed that she had inherited Huntington's disease, which could manifest at the age of thirty, making it impossible for her to hold a scalpel ever again.

Su Weian searched for the latest research on treating Huntington's disease in China and found that Zhonghe Hospital was recruiting participants for the HDQ39 research. She proactively discussed persuading her aunt to participate in the clinical trial with her mother. That evening, Su Weian messaged Wen Ran, hoping for her assistance in making a recommendation, but Wen Ran seemed indifferent to her request.

Since Su Weian's departure, Gu Yunzheng had been working overtime for several days and nights. Even during his breaks, he would sit alone, lost in thought, and everyone guessed that it was related to Su Weian. Jiang Muying took a photo of him and sent it to Su Weian, feeling sorry for him. Su Weian was equally tormented, but she couldn't think of anything else at the moment. The top priority was to prevent her aunt, Su Yuan, from wanting to end her life, so she made an effort to encourage her.

The next morning, Su Weian went to Zhonghe Hospital herself and crossed paths with Du Yuncheng.
