Du Yuncheng always felt like he saw Su Weian, but when he turned around, he didn't find the familiar figure. Wen Ran is still planning to throw a celebration party for Du Yuncheng, but Du Yuncheng has no interest in it at all. Since Grandpa Du has no plans for a birthday banquet this year, there won't be many outsiders invited. Wen Ran wants to attend as Du Yuncheng's fiancée, implying that she wants to be with him forever. Du Yuncheng deliberately avoids the topic and says he's going on a business trip in a while.

Dr. Yang from Zhanghe Hospital responded that the recruitment for Phase III is already full with 300 participants, so they closed the registration channel. Su Weian hopes Dr. Yang can be flexible, even though he can't make the final decision, she asks if she can be put on the waiting list. After returning to China, Su Weian went to the bar where she used to work and joined their band again.

That night, Su Weian used a discussion about medicine as an excuse to get her mom to go to the bar for a performance. Du's mother has her eyes on Wen Ran's background and wants to match her son with her. Unfortunately, Du Yuncheng has very little affection for Wen Ran and shows little enthusiasm whenever she is mentioned.

While they were talking, Wen Ran pretended to be harassed and messaged Du Yuncheng for help. He urgently rushed to the bar to rescue her, only to find out it was a prank. Wen Ran threw a celebration party for Du Yuncheng and invited many friends. Du Yuncheng tried to suppress his displeasure and noticed a figure that looked a lot like Su Weian.

In fact, Wen Ran had already seen Su Weian but was worried that Du Yuncheng would meet her. She quickly blocked his view and made him accompany her through the event's queue. Du Yuncheng returned home reeking of alcohol, thinking about the familiar figure he saw tonight, and couldn't help but check Su Weian's location on WeChat, discovering that she was in China.

Because of Su Weian's abrupt departure, Gu Yunzheng is tormented every day and sometimes mistakes others for her. Fang Mingfan speaks up for Gu Yunzheng, thinking what Su Weian did was unfair and receives a reaction from Jiang Muying. In order to clarify Jiang Muying's feelings, Fang Mingfan gives her a cat named "Peanut" because he is going back to his home country. He promises to take care of the cat, officially establishing their relationship.

Gu Yunzheng comes to Nero Bridge alone to admire the night view and suddenly notices that the bridge's plaque bears the name of his mother, Gu Xingchen, along with the words: "Rainbows are gifts of the storm, and love is life's miracle." The date is Gu Yunzheng's birthday. With this, Gu Yunzheng finally understands the meaning of the "Dark Night Rainbow" and decides to return home.

Su Weian tries to contact Wen Ran several times but doesn't get a response. In desperation, she goes to the pharmaceutical company to find the owner, only to discover that it's Du Yuncheng. On the contrary, when Wen Ran suddenly appears, she observes that Du Yuncheng is still not over Su Weian and pretends to be close but secretly makes things difficult for Su Weian.

After leaving the pharmaceutical company, Su Weian thinks about what Wen Ran did during their university days. In order to seize authorship, Wen Ran resorted to malicious slander against Su Weian and used her father's influence to persuade Professor He to change the authorship. From that moment on, Su Weian saw through Wen Ran's hypocrisy, and their friendship completely fell apart.

Then, Du Yuncheng and Wen Ran invite Su Weian for a meal. Du Yuncheng promises to arrange a suitable spot for Su Weian, but Wen Ran keeps making snide remarks. Su Weian, in order to please her aunt, can only compromise and begs Wen Ran for help, but Wen Ran is still reluctant.

Su Weian returns home and can't find the stone that Gu Yunzheng gave her, thinking her mom might have thrown it away. Unexpectedly, her mom had guessed that it was a gift from her boyfriend and kept it safe. Su Weian cherishes the stone, fearing it might get lost again, so she goes to a craftsman to have it made into a pendant. The craftsman, knowing the stone's significance to Su Weian, promises to make a convenient keychain for her to carry.
