Fang Mingfan had the necessary knowledge but lacked the courage to perform surgery. He noticed that Gu Yunzheng was still in his office and revealed that Du Yuncheng had been coming to the hospital frequently. This caught Gu Yunzheng's attention. Gu Yunzheng and Du Yuncheng both used their skills to help Su Weian find temporary accommodation. The two brothers competed with each other, and Su Weian chose to stay in the hospital's duty room.

Gu Yunzheng brought Su Weian to a lounge, where He Xiaoguang sarcastically commented on their presence but was silenced by Gu Yunzheng. After He Xiaoguang left, Su Weian thanked Gu Yunzheng for his support, not expecting him to remind her to maintain her relationship with Du Yuncheng and avoid excessive contact between a man and a woman. Su Weian tried to evade Gu Yunzheng, but she accidentally dropped a stone keychain that he had given her. Gu Yunzheng realized that Su Weian still had feelings for him, but she refused to admit it.

Jiang Muying contemplated telling Yan Kai about her boyfriend but was surprised when he confessed that he wasn't interested in her at all, only pretending to please his parents. Seeing Yan Kai leave with another guy, Jiang Muying felt like a joke and a clown. He Xiaoguang saw Fang Mingfan still on duty in his office and taunted him, saying that he couldn't pick up a scalpel, so he couldn't be a qualified doctor, suggesting that he should give up. Just as He Xiaoguang finished speaking, Jiang Muying confronted him and defended Fang Mingfan.

Gu Yunzheng personally brought a late-night snack to Su Weian, who didn't want to eat alone in the hospital lobby. While eating, Gu Yunzheng expressed his care in various ways.
