Professor Wen discovered that three patients with adverse reactions had taken the HDQ39 experimental drug. He questioned Yang Wenbin about it, and Yang Wenbin claimed to have handled the situation and assured that it wouldn't affect the launch of the HDQ39 project. Professor Wen originally intended to report this, but Yang Wenbin obstructed it, not wanting the efforts of these years to go to waste. He revealed that Wen Ran had become an employee of Jiehui Company.

Concerned that his daughter might be implicated, Professor Wen, in turmoil, returned home and angrily accused Wen Ran of academic plagiarism, claiming she was being manipulated by Du Yuncheng. He ordered her to cut off all ties with Du Yuncheng. One night, Su Weian got locked in the lab. Gu Yunzheng couldn't reach her and hurried to open the door. With Gu Yunzheng's help, Su Weian discovered issues in the experimental data of the second batch of hypertensive mice, confirming their suspicions that arterial rupture was indeed strongly correlated with HDQ39.

He Xiaoguang was anonymously reported, and the hospital issued a notice to dismiss him. He was accused of accepting kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies and charging exorbitant treatment fees for patients without surgical indications. Consequently, He Xiaoguang angrily confronted Gu Yunzheng, who presented the experiment report and demanded an apology to Su Weian. However, He Xiaoguang denied any wrongdoing.

Su Weian, aware of all the things Gu Yunzheng did for her and the information he concealed, decided to be open and honest after setting some ground rules. Later, Su Weian and Gu Yunzheng, hand in hand, publicly announced their romantic relationship to the department members, who were delighted.

Eager to meet the parents, Gu Yunzheng planned to visit Su's mother. He aimed to continue that taste and protect Su Weian forever.

Seeing Gu Yunzheng's sincerity, Su's mother agreed to let her daughter cohabit with him. Hand in hand, they returned to their residence. The next morning, Su Weian and her mother accompanied her aunt for physical therapy, and Su Weian unexpectedly learned that the rehabilitation center was introduced by Du Yuncheng. Additionally, Su Yuan's signing of the withdrawal agreement was related to Du Yuncheng.
