Wen Ran was caught eavesdropping by Du Yuncheng, plunging into deep fear. Nevertheless, she pretended to be composed and suggested that Du Yuncheng take her away, skillfully deceiving him with her acting prowess. Returning home, Wen Ran sought help from Professor Wen, assuming that Du Yuncheng's current research was an upgraded version of HDQ39. However, she discovered that he was counterfeiting prohibited foreign drugs, leading to fatal consequences.

Du Yuncheng had become obsessed, leaving Wen Ran bewildered. She sought Su Weian's help, hoping Su Weian could persuade Du Yuncheng to stop. Despite her vanity, Wen Ran never intended to engage in morally reprehensible actions. Du Yuncheng planned to sell the lab serum to foreign labs, posing a significant threat to national security by leaking Chinese genetic information. Su Weian suggested a plan to avoid alerting him.

On the day of the transaction, Wen Ran followed Du Yuncheng to a secluded warehouse. Gu Yunzheng and Su Weian, in coordination with the police, apprehended Du Yuncheng. However, Du Yuncheng showed no remorse, claiming he would do anything for Su Weian. He accused Gu Yunzheng of stealing his family and ruining his happiness.

Gu Yunzheng exposed Cui Jie's identity as a third party, asserting that he was the true unfortunate child. Du Yuncheng, recalling his childhood when his mother forced him to yield and endure grievances, suddenly realized his past submissive behavior. Disheartened, he was incarcerated and eventually sentenced to fifteen years in prison.

Cui Jie visited her son in prison, but Du Yuncheng mercilessly accused her of using him as a pawn for her own gain. Disappointed in his mother, Du Yuncheng left her in deep self-blame and sorrow. Packing her bags, she bid farewell to Du Yongsong, expressing her departure from this home, where she had no intention of harming Gu Xingchen, starting from that day.

Meanwhile, Gu Yunzheng and Su Weian were preparing for their wedding, distributing invitations to everyone in the hospital except Du Yongsong, leaving him particularly dejected. Du Yongsong realized the harm he had caused to Gu Yunzheng and hoped father and son could reconcile. However, Gu Yunzheng remained cold, unable to forgive him at least for the time being.

On the eve of the wedding, Su Weian felt inexplicably nervous. Gu Yunzheng reassured her that as long as she was willing to marry him, these would be beautiful memories of the future. Soon, the couple held a grand wedding, dancing hand in hand in front of friends and family, moving everyone to tears.

Gu Yunzheng passionately confessed to Su Weian, and they exchanged rings. During the bouquet moment, Su Weian handed the flowers to her mother, then passed her mother's hand to Uncle Zhao, urging them to be happy and continue their own happiness. Du Yongsong, uninvited, watched from a distance, not wanting to disturb the festive atmosphere. The joy of this wedding was unrelated to him, and he walked away with a bag of wedding candies, lonely and forlorn.

Several years later, the drug developed by Gu Yunzheng and Su Weian received recognition. Students talked about Su Weian as an extraordinary person.
