Based on Liu Hao’s account, it was confirmed that the suspect who killed Ding Jing was the same person who murdered Wang Qianqian. Yu Zheng was entrusted by the bureau to assist in analyzing the case. Lu Yan hadn’t seen Jiang Chengyi for two days and brought him lunch during her midday break. She was relieved to see that he wasn’t injured.
The two began expressing genuine concern for each other and agreed to meet again at home in the evening. The woman in black, Li Ruonan, relocated to another hideout and sent a message to a mysterious individual, reporting what had happened. During the event, Ding Jing’s mother suddenly fainted, prompting Jiang Chengyi and Lu Yan to take her home. While upstairs getting water, Jiang Chengyi discovered Li Ruonan hiding in a room. A brief struggle ensued before Li Ruonan jumped out of a window and escaped. Jiang Chengyi immediately called Qin Yue to intercept her en route. Li Ruonan fled to the memorial site, where she took Yu Baifeng hostage while he was talking with Yu Zheng.
