Song Jie asked Xia Qiange out and questioned why she married Gu Chengze. Xia Qiange explained that marrying Gu Chengze was purely driven by a purpose because her father had been pressuring her. Instead of marrying someone she disliked, she chose to marry someone she could get along with comfortably.
On the other hand, Yang Fan was also questioning Gu Chengze about the situation. Gu Chengze stated that he was initially unwilling, but somehow at a certain moment, he agreed.
Song Jie asked if Xia Qiange now liked Gu Chengze. Xia Qiange admitted that she couldn't figure it out herself, but she supposed she did like him.
