Married Episode 17 Recap
> Married Recap
Luo Yating was having dinner with a date at a restaurant. She didn’t actually like the person but found it hard to shake him off. Eventually, because she ignored him, the man lost his patience and stormed off angrily. Coincidentally, Lao Mo was also dining at the same restaurant and initially thought he might have a chance to step in as a "hero saving the damsel in distress.
" However, Luo Yating wasn’t interested in interacting with or engaging with someone who couldn’t control his temper. During this interaction, Lao Mo learned that Luo Yating had been through a brief 49-day marriage, which she considered a disaster. She didn’t go into much detail about it, but the experience had left her resolute in her decision to remain unmarried. Hu Cheng had already made arrangements to send his parents back to their hometown and had dismissed the nanny.
He hoped to return to a simpler life with just himself, Ning Yue, and their child as a family of three. However, Ning Yue told him he was overthinking. Meanwhile, Luo Yating tasked Qin Can with secretly investigating Chen Mingzhang. When Chen Mingzhang discovered this, he found it strange and couldn’t understand why Luo Yating had suddenly started looking into him.
Feeling uneasy, Chen Mingzhang instructed his trusted aides to quietly gather information and see if anyone was investigating the purchasing department's contracts from the past two years. Mu Xiao discovered that Licheng Anping and Mingdu Club were registered under the same legal representative, who had no notable background. However, this individual happened to come from the same hometown as Hu Cheng. Deciding to dig deeper, Mu Xiao planned a trip to this person’s hometown to investigate.
At the same time, Ning Yue’s every move was being monitored by Hu Zibo, who regularly reported back to Hu Cheng. In an unexpected turn, Ning Yue directly confronted Hu Cheng by asking about his ex-wife in front of his senior brother (Shige) and Shige’s wife. The question made everyone visibly uncomfortable, and they avoided the topic. While Ning Yue knew Hu Cheng had been married before, he had never mentioned his ex-wife, which piqued her curiosity.
She decided to ask Mu Xiao to look into it. Before long, both Luo Yating and Ning Yue learned about each other’s identities. The two women coincidentally ran into each other while waiting for the elevator, exchanging subtle but curious glances. Ning Yue was actively preparing to separate from Hu Cheng. She had already found a new kindergarten for her son, but she hadn’t told him yet.
One day, her son shared something from school—one of his classmates, Jiao Jiao, was transferring, and she was very upset. Hu Ziyuan promised Jiao Jiao he wouldn’t leave her. Hearing this, Ning Yue felt a pang of sadness. She gently told Hu Ziyuan that no matter if he and Jiao Jiao were apart, they would always remain good friends.
Hu Cheng was having a meal with Shige at a restaurant when Pan Jie mentioned needing to deliver a fan to her grandmother. She asked a colleague for help since she couldn’t carry it herself. As a gesture of thanks, Pan Jie treated her colleague to dinner. After the meal, Hu Cheng overheard Pan Jie making a call to Ning Yue.
He revealed his identity and offered to have his assistant drive them, as the destination was in a hard-to-reach area. During the car ride, Hu Cheng subtly tried to probe Pan Jie for information. However, Pan Jie quickly caught on and refrained from saying much. She even discreetly signaled to her colleague not to reveal anything. Pan Jie wasn’t the type to gossip mindlessly; she had a keen understanding of human nature and knew how to handle such situations delicately.
