The next day, when Huang Ying woke up, Jin Shangyu had already left, leaving behind a letter. He gave the house to Huang Ying to live in but made it clear that he did not have feelings for her. He warned Huang Ying not to go to the Huan Le Fang to find him and cautioned her not to cause any trouble, or he would no longer help her.

Huang Ying went to register at the Huan Le Fang, and though the person in charge was initially persuaded by her, Yun Shang stopped her from filling out the registration form. Yun Shang warned Huang Ying not to come back again and instructed the registration officer never to allow her in. Yun Mu deliberately prepared several portraits of beautiful women and invited Su Ruofei to help him choose one.

Su Ruofei was displeased and inwardly cursed Yun Mu for being a flirt. Yun Mu hinted that Su Ruofei could express her feelings in advance, making it easier for him to accept her. However, Su Ruofei completely misunderstood and thought Yun Mu was being terrible, suggesting that whoever confessed first would win. Frustrated, she randomly pointed at one of the portraits, not realizing it was actually her own portrait that Yun Mu had drawn.

Yun Mu misunderstood again, thinking Su Ruofei had chosen herself as his girlfriend. Su Ruofei noticed that Yun Mu had prepared an elaborate reception for this supposed girl, making her feel even more uncomfortable. She made an excuse to leave, and Yun Mu tried to show her the painting, but she refused to look. She assumed the girl must be unattractive, while Xiao Qi could tell that Su Ruofei was actually jealous.

Su Ruoshan came to find Su Ruofei, deliberately talking about what it feels like to like someone. Su Ruofei suddenly realized that the feelings she had were for Yun Mu. Su Ruoshan reminded Su Ruofei that no matter who she liked, she must keep her eyes open and make sure the other person was reliable. Su Ruoshan said she would make an effort to impress Yun Mu because he had agreed to let her enter the Huan Le Fang.

Su Ruoshan took Su Ruofei to check the registration list, but they didn’t find Su Ruofei's name on it. Su Ruoshan was secretly relieved, thinking that perhaps Yun Mu didn’t care about Su Ruofei that much. Su Ruofei, however, was upset and rushed back to confront Yun Mu, accusing him of failing to restore her musical status and not allowing her into the Huan Le Fang.

Yun Mu explained that it wasn’t the right time yet but promised to fulfill his commitment. Su Ruofei didn’t believe Yun Mu, but with no other options, she stormed off angrily. Yun Mu, seeing her anger, was glad he had other plans prepared. Yun Mu specially prepared some fine rouge to visit his mother, also asking her for the musical scores she had copied last time.

His mother talked about Yun Mu’s current big matters, guessing that Yun Mu might like Su Ruoshan. Yun Mu hurriedly left without giving much explanation. Jin Shangyu tried to persuade Su Ruofei to return to Yun Yao with him, but Su Ruofei refused, determined not to let Yun Mu get off easily. She was resolved to vent her anger.

Jin Shangyu promised to help her with all his might, but he could see that Su Ruofei had developed feelings for Yun Mu. As Jin Shangyu was about to leave, he ran into Yun Mu, who scolded Jin Shangyu for coming to see his music courtesan without permission and ordered the guards to be replaced so no one could enter the residence without authorization. Jin Shangyu accused Yun Mu of breaking his promise.

Yun Mu originally intended to let Su Ruofei enter the Huan Le Fang but was worried that she might get too close to Jin Shangyu, causing him to change his mind. When Su Ruofei saw Yun Mu approaching, she cursed him thoroughly, but Yun Mu wasn’t angry. He believed that since she was his woman, it was his duty to spoil her. At this moment, Yun Shang also arrived to see Yun Mu.

He mentioned that tomorrow he had arranged for Su Ruoshan to lead the music performance and hoped to be the most impressive person in front of her. Tomorrow was a grand centennial celebration, and Yun Mu also planned to take Su Ruofei to witness it. Su Ruofei outwardly agreed to behave well but secretly planned to give Yun Mu a "surprise" as revenge. Yun Shang had specially made a luxurious outfit for Su Ruoshan and sent it to her.

Su Ruoshan pretended to decline it several times, but after putting it on, she admired herself in the mirror, thinking she looked stunning. She knew all of this was the result of her own hard work. The next day, at the grand performance, Su Ruoshan’s konghou performance was exceptional. Yun Mu praised her as unparalleled, and Su Ruofei also complimented her sister’s skill.

Yun Shang took the opportunity to compliment Su Ruofei as well, but Su Ruofei didn’t relay this message to Yun Mu. Yun Mu reminded Su Ruofei that she needed to pass on every message. Su Ruofei agreed outwardly but secretly planned to play a trick on Yun Mu by deliberately passing on the wrong message. Luckily, she corrected it at the last moment.

Yun Mu, seizing the opportunity to liven up the atmosphere, invited Yun Shang to beat the drum and gong. Yun Shang was pleased but reminded Yun Mu that no jokes should be made on such important occasions in the future.
