After Su Ruofei was accepted into Huan Le Fang, Yun Mu threw a celebration in her honor, with singing, dancing, and a lavish spread of food and drink. Su Ruofei was overjoyed and drank a lot, eventually joining the dancers. Yun Mu, seeing her so beautiful and graceful, couldn't help but be moved. He took her hand, and they danced together, much to Su Ruofei's delight.

After sending her home, Su Ruofei held onto Yun Mu's neck, refusing to let go, and Yun Mu couldn't resist kissing her. The next morning, Su Ruofei woke up with a splitting headache, remembering dancing with Yun Mu but forgetting what happened afterward. As she tried to get out of bed, she noticed Yun Mu sleeping beside her. Alarmed, Su Ruofei quickly checked her body, and after finding nothing unusual, she breathed a sigh of relief.

She tried to quietly get out of bed, but the movement woke Yun Mu. Embarrassed, Su Ruofei shyly asked if anything had happened the previous night, but seeing Yun Mu’s teasing smile, she lost the courage to continue her question and hurriedly found an excuse to send Yun Mu away. In Su Ruofei’s mind, pretending not to know meant she truly didn’t know. When Su Ruofei and the others gathered for practice, Jin Shangyu decided to give them a special lesson.

Huang Ying was convinced that Jin Shangyu had come to teach because she was there. However, the others in Huan Le Fang bombarded Jin Shangyu with questions, so he proposed playing a duet with someone to demonstrate what true musical harmony was. He chose Su Ruofei to perform with him.

Su Ruofei initially thought they wouldn’t play well together without rehearsal, but to her surprise, their performance was seamless, leaving the crowd thinking that Su Ruofei was favored by Jin Shangyu. Yun Mu, seeing that it was late and Su Ruofei hadn’t returned, anxiously paced back and forth. When he spotted Xiao Qi’s figure outside the window, he quickly pretended to calmly sit down and read, but it was obvious his book was upside down.

Yun Mu asked Xiao Qi about the day’s practice, learning about Su Ruofei's duet with Jin Shangyu. Feeling jealous, Yun Mu questioned Su Ruofei when she returned, even bringing up her promise letter. Su Ruofei, realizing Yun Mu had someone watching her, became even more upset. That night, Yun Mu tossed and turned, unable to sleep, constantly thinking about how troublesome Jin Shangyu was. His restlessness kept Su Ruofei awake, as they were tied together by a string.

Annoyed, Su Ruofei explained that her relationship with Jin Shangyu was normal and that she was free to interact with him. Furthermore, Jin Shangyu was a musician, and their learning was legitimate, so there was no need for Yun Mu to keep tabs on her. This only provoked Yun Mu, who explained that he had people watching her purely for her protection and had no other intentions. After saying this, he untied the string and walked out.

Su Ruofei realized that Yun Mu might be jealous and couldn't help but feel a bit pleased. The next morning, Su Ruofei woke up to sweet Hami melon, which made her happy, though she didn’t want to be so easily swayed by a few slices of melon. In Huang Ying’s group, no one liked her, thinking she was hard to work with. Some even thought it was better that she didn’t come to practice.

Jin Shangyu was displeased by this, hoping they could be more understanding and united as a group. Su Ruofei defended Huang Ying, saying she was just eccentric but still a good person. Just then, a commotion arose outside, and everyone went to see what was happening, discovering that Yun Mu had arrived, insisting on joining the practice session. Several girls asked Jin Shangyu what kind of woman he liked, and Jin Shangyu described someone like Su Ruofei.

When asked what kind of woman Yun Mu liked, Yun Mu replied that he liked the same type as Jin Shangyu, sparking a silent rivalry between the two. Su Ruoshan invited Yun Mu to listen to her music. Yun Mu agreed, but his mind was elsewhere, preoccupied with thoughts of who Su Ruofei liked. Su Ruoshan, noticing Yun Mu's distraction, stopped playing and directly asked what he was thinking about.

Yun Mu believed Su Ruoshan knew Su Ruofei best, so he asked her about who Su Ruofei liked. Annoyed, Su Ruoshan replied that Su Ruofei was thrilled to meet Jin Shangyu again, even calling it a long-awaited reunion, causing Yun Mu to suspect that Su Ruofei might like Jin Shangyu. As Su Ruoshan was seeing Yun Mu off, Su Ruofei saw them together and mistakenly thought that Yun Mu liked Su Ruoshan.

Sitting under a tree, Su Ruofei couldn’t help but think about the moment she kissed Yun Mu. At that moment, Jin Shangyu approached, and Su Ruofei asked him about the feeling of longing. Jin Shangyu, flustered, expressed his own feelings for Su Ruofei. Su Ruofei seemed to have an epiphany and patted Jin Shangyu’s hand, thanking him for his insight, as she had gained a vague understanding of longing.

This scene was witnessed by Yun Mu, who angrily grabbed Su Ruofei and tried to leave. Jin Shangyu stepped forward to stop them, and it seemed the two were about to argue again. Su Ruofei quickly stepped in to diffuse the situation and left with Yun Mu.
