This tune reminded Yun Mu of the past, specifically of the girl he met in the Green Light Forest, who had played this very piece. After Su Ruoshan finished playing, she placed the konghou on a small boat and sent it downstream, hoping Yun Mu would take it. However, Yun Shang ended up taking it instead, which infuriated Su Ruoshan, who silently cursed him as a fool. Yun Mu suggested that Su Ruofei play next.

Though Su Ruofei initially wanted to refuse, she couldn't withstand Yun Mu's sarcastic taunts, so she reluctantly agreed. Since she didn’t bring her instrument, she borrowed Su Ruoshan's konghou. After playing, she had to place the konghou on the small qin to see if anyone would respond musically. Su Ruofei was worried that no one would respond. At the crucial moment, both Yun Mu and Jin Shangyu stood up.

Yun Shang was surprised to see Su Ruofei being so sought after, with both men stepping forward. Many people gathered to watch the excitement, and in the commotion, someone accidentally pushed Su Ruofei into the water. Without hesitation, Yun Mu caught her mid-fall, but a railing suddenly fell and struck Yun Mu's shoulder. In pain, Yun Mu accidentally dropped Su Ruofei into the water, but fortunately, both emerged unharmed.

Jin Shangyu, deeply concerned for Su Ruofei, carried her away, but Su Ruofei suddenly remembered that Yun Mu couldn’t hear anything. She quickly went back to find him. Yun Mu, lost and confused, heard the sound of bells. When he saw Su Ruofei return, he was overjoyed. Despite the crowd, Yun Mu held Su Ruofei close when he heard her sneeze and left with her.

Yun Shang praised Yun Mu for treating Su Ruofei so well, saying they made a great match, though this comment displeased Su Ruoshan. She knew Yun Mu liked Su Ruofei but couldn’t afford to lose Yun Shang’s support, so she also complimented Yun Shang, who was delighted by her words.

Su Ruofei felt guilty for causing Yun Mu to get hurt, but Yun Mu didn’t mind at all and cared more about Su Ruofei’s feelings, which made her feel sweetly comforted. Lord Huang thought back to Yun Shang's reminder to Yun Mu about the railing, but Yun Mu seemed not to have heard, which led to him being hit.

This wasn’t the first time—Yun Shang had called out to Yun Mu before, but Yun Mu had explained that he didn’t hear because he had just woken up. Lord Huang felt there must be a connection between the two incidents, but Yun Shang dismissed it as overthinking. Unconvinced, Lord Huang requested more time to investigate. After returning, Yun Mu unknowingly began drawing Su Ruofei's portrait. Xiao Qi suspected that Yun Mu might have feelings for Su Ruofei.

Similarly, whenever Su Ruofei closed her eyes, Yun Mu’s face would appear in her mind, which made her restless. She shouted, telling the thoughts to go away, only to be surprised when Yun Mu suddenly entered the room, making her feel a bit awkward. Seeing Yun Mu with medicine in hand, Su Ruofei volunteered to help apply it, but she blindfolded herself.

As she applied the medicine, a breeze blew the white cloth covering her eyes, and Yun Mu, unable to resist, leaned in to kiss her. Su Ruofei instinctively dodged, and both immediately realized the awkwardness of the situation, quickly pulling apart in embarrassment. Su Ruofei’s heart raced, unsure if she had been enchanted or if she had truly fallen for him. That night, amidst the flashes of lightning and thunder, Su Ruoshan felt a twinge of guilt.

If she had reminded Su Ruofei earlier, she wouldn’t have fallen into the water. However, she had hesitated, knowing there was an issue with the railing for a while. Another voice in her mind reminded her that to succeed, she couldn’t afford to be soft-hearted. She couldn’t lose control over her feelings for a man. Su Ruoshan told herself that she had never loved any man; all men were just stepping stones to her success.

Meanwhile, standing in the heavy rain, Jin Shangyu felt sorrow. Su Ruofei’s sudden return earlier made him realize that the person Su Ruofei liked was Yun Mu. Huang Ying, despite the storm, stood by Jin Shangyu’s side. Frightened by the thunder and lightning, she screamed continuously but still refused to leave him. Feeling compassion, Jin Shangyu carried Huang Ying back to his room, where she soon developed a high fever.

Looking at the feverish Huang Ying, Jin Shangyu recalled the day he went to visit her home, only to find it empty. Inside, he had discovered Huang Ying hiding under the table. Her parents had died in a mountain flood, and everyone had left, believing she was cursed. Terrified by the storm, Huang Ying had covered her ears, but Jin Shangyu wasn’t afraid of her supposed curse.

He had given her warmth, and from that day on, Huang Ying followed him. When she was hungry, Jin Shangyu bought her buns, and it was during that time that Huang Ying began affectionately calling him "Jin Jin. " At this moment, Huang Ying woke up and saw Jin Shangyu beside her.

She reached out to hold his hand, and though Jin Shangyu understood her fear, he placed his hand in hers, but reminded her that this was a one-time exception. Huang Ying felt warmth in her heart, knowing that no matter what, Jin Shangyu would never abandon her.
