Gu Sheng went to the bathroom to get a towel for Mo Qingcheng, intending to wipe away his sweat. Upon returning, she discovered that Mo Qingcheng had already fallen asleep. She sat by the bed, watching him sleep peacefully, momentarily entranced. Later, she considerately adjusted the blanket for him. Feeling hungry, Gu Sheng noticed it was already 4 PM, well past lunchtime. She saw some snacks on the table and decided to snack on them to fill her stomach.

Mo Qingcheng gave Gu Sheng a hairpin, but his hair got caught in his watch. Nervously trying to fix it, Zhou Zheng suddenly knocked on the door, startling Gu Sheng, who didn't expect Zhou Zheng to be home too. Mo Qingcheng explained that he had messaged Zhou Zheng, asking him not to come out to avoid startling Gu Sheng.

Zhou Zheng came over to discuss their plan for satisfying their hunger. Mo Qingcheng suggested he cook, but Gu Sheng insisted on taking up the task. She proposed making something light, but Mo Qingcheng insisted on beef steamed with rice flour. Gu Sheng, using the excuse that he was sick and needed something light, pleaded with him to cook it next time. However, Mo Qingcheng was adamant about wanting that particular dish, leaving Gu Sheng no choice but to attempt making it.

In the kitchen, Zhou Zheng offered assistance. After a lengthy discussion on how to marinate the beef, Mo Qingcheng ultimately stepped in to help with the preparation. Knowing about the online comments regarding Gu Sheng's work, Zhou Zheng used an incident from a few years ago, where Mo Qingcheng retweeted a Weibo post about finding a lost dog, resulting in a scam, to console Gu Sheng. Gu Sheng, being a loyal fan of Qing Qing Ci, was well aware of the incident. She mentioned that she had forgotten about it due to Mo Qingcheng being sick but thanked Zhou Zheng for his comforting words.

Following Mo Qingcheng's recipe for beef steamed with rice flour, Gu Sheng cooked the dish and two other simple dishes. Finally, the three of them sat down to eat. Mo Qingcheng and Zhou Zheng praised Gu Sheng's cooking skills, but before they could take more than a few bites, Wang Ke called Zhou Zheng. Upon Mo Qingcheng's signal, Zhou Zheng didn't answer the call, leaving both of them anxious outside. Eventually, they encountered an elderly person who had gone out to buy groceries but mistook them for troublemakers.

After finally getting inside, they found that Mo Qingcheng's illness had almost completely subsided. They credited Gu Sheng for his quick recovery, believing it was her care that made the difference. After dinner, to give Mo Qingcheng and Gu Sheng some space, Zhou Zheng whisked them away. Stranded in the cold winter park with nowhere to go, the three friends endured the situation.

Mo Qingcheng and Gu Sheng found themselves in an awkward situation at the park. Taking advantage of pouring milk for Gu Sheng, Mo Qingcheng sought Zhou Zheng's help on what couples usually do at this time. After much deliberation, they came up with impractical suggestions. Finally, Mo Qingcheng decided to watch a movie with Gu Sheng. He brought a ceramic cup from the new game merchandise, and seeing that Gu Sheng liked it, he gave it to her. When a kissing scene appeared in the movie, both felt embarrassed, and Mo Qingcheng quickly turned off the power.

Mo Qingcheng escorted Gu Sheng home, and at a street corner, Gu Sheng mentioned a shop selling delicious fresh meat mooncakes. They decided to queue up together. Suddenly, Gu Sheng spotted her father riding an electric bike towards them. She nervously pretended not to notice and turned away, but her father saw her. He approached and inquired about her activities. Gu Sheng claimed to be buying mooncakes for a classmate, and her father informed her that her mother had bought plenty in the afternoon, urging her to hurry home.

Gu Sheng lied, saying she was helping a classmate buy them, and they would arrive shortly. Her father insisted that her mother had already bought many, but Gu Sheng explained that her classmates preferred them warm. She then pushed her father away, and with a subtle point from Mo Qingcheng, she corrected her direction. After seeing off her father, Gu Sheng approached Mo Qingcheng. As they exchanged a few words, her father put down his electric bike and walked towards them, making Gu Sheng nervous.
