Ren Shique used the excuse of inquiring about the lantern festival to find Yun Chaoyan. Yun Chaoyan complained about seeing a renegade immortal today and not being able to enjoy herself, then invited Ren Shique to admire the moon together.
Late at night, a young female renegade immortal appeared again, waking Yun Chaoyan and begging her to help find her lover from her previous life. The renegade immortal turned out to be Miss Jia Wanwan from the Jia family. Yun Chaoyan hesitated to agree, but Wanwan pointed out that Yun Chaoyan liked Ren Shique. Feeling guilty, Yun Chaoyan denied it but reluctantly agreed to help upon seeing Wanwan intentionally getting close to Ren Shique.
Recently, the Jia family had been making a fuss in the city by inviting a Western shaman to find a husband for their late granddaughter. Jingyao, after passing the exam, came to propose to Wanwan, only to find out she had long since passed away. Wanwan was anxious and asked Yun Chaoyan to stop the shaman. Xie Guichen, having picked up the shaman's jade pendant, was trapped in the Jia residence. Yun Chaoyan sought Ren Shique's help but was refused.
Yun Chaoyan had to go alone to persuade them and was tied up in the Jia residence woodshed, mistaken for Jingyao's envoy. She managed to escape and search for Xie Guichen, only to see Ren Shique dressed as a groom.
