Xiang Yan embraced Lin Hengyu, and he expressed his desire to be with her for a lifetime, which Xiang Yan agreed to. During their time together, she had also developed feelings for him. On the other hand, Tan Shishi and Shi Ran were getting along very well, and they were in the early stages of dating. After cleaning up at home, Xiang Yan and Lin Hengyu were about to take their intimacy further when Xiang Yan suddenly remembered something they hadn't done yet. They searched for their agreement list inside the car but couldn't find it even after a long search. Lin Hengyu speculated that his mother, who had previously used the car, might have found it. Just then, Lin Hengyu's mother called and asked them to come home. Xiang Yan's mother had visited, and Lin Hengyu's mother had been discussing their wedding date. Lin Hengyu's father was about to say something when he received a call, and it turned out to be from his mistress. His mistress had contacted one of his friends since he hadn't been in touch, and Lin Hengyu's father felt helpless about the situation. Lin Hengyu's mother wanted to give Xiang Yan the wedding gift her husband had once given her, but Lin Hengyu insisted on putting the expensive diamond ring on Xiang Yan's hand himself, leaving her uncertain about how to respond. Jiang Qi found Lin Hengyu and informed him that he and Lu Nian were finally together, which made Lin Hengyu happy for them. Lu Nian and Jiang Qi invited Xiang Yan and Lin Hengyu to dine at their restaurant, and Xiang Yan was also happy for Lu Nian. However, they suddenly heard some commotion, and it turned out that the head chef had beaten Shi Ran. Lin Hengyu and Jiang Qi rushed to check on the situation, and Jiang Qi found out that the head chef was the one who had stolen food from the kitchen. As a result of today's incident, Jiang Qi fired the head chef and asked Shi Ran to help out when he was available, which Shi Ran gladly agreed to. Upon learning about Shi Ran's injury, Tan Shishi rushed to help treat his wounds and expressed her concern for him. Meanwhile, Xiang Yan was chatting with Lu Nian, and Lin Hengyu and Jiang Qi were clueless about their conversation. Tan Shishi informed Lin Hengyu that she intended to take Xiang Yan away. Afterward, Tan Shishi brought Xiang Yan back to the company where the deputy editor-in-chief was occupying the editor-in-chief's position and taking over her project. The deputy editor-in-chief had always been resentful of Tan Shishi's management style, but Tan Shishi's words silenced him. Unexpectedly, He Huan entered the room and sat next to the deputy editor-in-chief, which surprised Xiang Yan. After the meeting, Tan Shishi noticed that He Huan had been acting strangely lately. Xiang Yan mentioned that she had seen the deputy editor-in-chief harassing He Huan before. Tan Shishi was furious and told Xiang Yan to pay close attention to the situation and to help He Huan if needed in an emergency.
