Once the biological mother was gone, Wang Danling could smoothly take over the child’s care. Wang Danling personally delivered the tampered medicinal soup. Shen Qilan, suspecting nothing, drank it without hesitation.
After all the torment she had endured from Wang Danling before, she never expected her attitude to completely shift. Shen Qilan let her guard down. With a far-reaching plan in mind, Wang Danling began sending baby clothes and toys to Shen Qilan’s residence every day. Watching Lu Jingshu spend time with Shen Qilan daily, she seethed with rage. Yuzhu, emboldened by her mistress, often bullied Shen Qilan’s maid. But now, with Lu Jingshu protecting Shen Qilan, her maid was no longer afraid of Yuzhu.
