Hu Die couldn't understand why Shen Qingxia had become this way. Shen Qingxia believed that everything was because of Hu Die. On the day she had intended to end her life, she was rescued by Zhao Ying. Zhao Ying persuaded Shen Qingxia to live and seek revenge for those who had suffered like her, to uproot the Nie family entirely. Shen Qingxia had relied on Hu Die, the only person who knew she was in the dye house, to enter the Nie mansion, setting a trap that led to her downfall. To prove her point, Zhao Ying presented a dossier on Hu Die, demonstrating that Hu Die had ulterior motives and had taken control of the Shen family's business, misleading the Shen family's descendants.
Shen Qingxia believed Zhao Ying's words, and when she saw that Hu Die didn't set the fire that day, she became even more convinced of Zhao Ying's claims. She was certain that Hu Die had fallen in love with Nie Zhen, which was why she had harmed Shen Qingxia. Seeing Shen Qingxia's extreme stubbornness, Hu Die stopped defending herself and instead begged Shen Qingxia to tell her where Nie Zhen was. Even if it meant death, she wanted to die with Nie Zhen.

Zhao Ying eagerly took notes as Nie Zhen suffered immensely and eventually passed out. At the same time, Hu Die, determined to be with Nie Zhen at any cost, rushed towards the direction where he was located.
