Zhao Ying witnessed Nie Zhen's agony after injecting the potion and had no intention of letting him off easily. She knew that Nie Zhen wanted to save Hu Die, so she decided to play a game of chance with him, letting him determine Hu Die's fate. Zhao Ying took out five bullets and allowed Nie Zhen to make five rounds to decide the outcome. However, Nie Zhen chose to settle it with a single shot. Zhao Ying was excited at the thought of torturing Nie Zhen, but the shot fired by Nie Zhen had no bullet, and he won the antidote.
By the time Hu Die got into the car, the poison had taken a deep hold, and she was already vomiting blood before reaching Nie Zhen. Fortunately, Nie Zhen won the antidote for her, saving her life. However, Nie Zhen had passed out due to the effects of the experimental potion.
Shen Qingxia continued to torment Nie Feng, causing him to lose mobility and tremble constantly. She remembered the shame of that day and continued to add to Nie Feng's suffering, hoping to make him experience her pain. When Nie Zhen and Hu Die both returned to consciousness, it surprised Shen Qingxia. Hu Die only wanted Nie Zhen to stay alive, so she agreed to Shen Qingxia's terms. She looked at the unconscious Nie Zhen on the bed, recalling their wedding and all the moments they had shared. Her eyes were filled with reluctance, tears streaming down her face. However, in order to save Nie Zhen, she had to gather reporters and declare herself as not Shen Qingxia, but just a servant of the Shen family. She invalidated her marriage to Nie Zhen and left the Nie estate.
