The Xia family, with a girl in a wedding dress, is being rudely pushed to the ground by another girl. The one in the wedding dress is Miss Xia Miaomiao (played by Guo Jiayu), the second young lady of the Xia family. The one pushing her is her sister, Xia Jingxi. Xia Jingxi has a prior engagement with the second young master of the Leng family, Leng Zhixing (played by Xie Yibo). However, Leng Zhixing had a car accident six years ago that left him disabled, and he has been in a wheelchair ever since. It is said that he can no longer function as a man. Therefore, Xia Jingxi does not want to marry him and face a lonely life. Xia Miaomiao is an adopted daughter of the Xia family, and the family plans to marry her off to preserve their business. Otherwise, the Xia family's business will have to close down.
Xia Miaomiao's wedding is quite desolate, with no one to send her off. When she reaches Leng Zhixing's room, it's empty. Hearing a sound from the bathroom, Xia Miaomiao goes in to check and accidentally slips, falling into the arms of Leng Zhixing, who is taking a bath.
Leng Zhixing is indifferent to the woman forced upon him by his grandfather, considering her a gold-digger after the Leng family's assets. Consequently, he keeps Xia Miaomiao at a distance, not even allowing her on his bed. Leng Jiaxuan, Leng Zhixing's third brother, has always been in conflict with him. Leng Zhixing knows that Leng Jiaxuan is somehow connected to the car accident six years ago. Grandfather insists that Leng Zhixing firmly secure the position of the president of the Leng Corporation. This infuriates Leng Jiaxuan, who marries Xia Jingxi, who has been with him since the age of eighteen. Leng Jiaxuan claims that she is entirely his, from head to toe. Leng Zhixing is disgusted by this, especially when it comes to Xia Miaomiao.
