When Xia Zhengnan was on the brink of death, he requested to see Xia Miaomiao. He apologized to her and entrusted Xia Corporation to her care. He also asked her to take care of Xia Jingxi. Xia Zhengnan handed the key to the Xia Foundation's safe to Xia Miaomiao, mentioning that another key was with Leng Jiaxuan. He urged Xia Miaomiao to find a way to retrieve it. His words, including the request for Xia Miaomiao to call him "dad," were overheard by Xia Jingxi.
Xia Jingxi meets Mosning to discuss cooperation. She knows that Mosning likes Xia Miaomiao and claims to have a plan to bring Xia Miaomiao to his bed. In return, she wants Leng Zhixing. Mosning asks why she doesn't consider him, and Xia Jingxi truthfully admits that she is afraid of Mosning's face. Mosning, unperturbed by Xia Jingxi's straightforwardness, readily agrees to cooperate with her.
While Xia Miaomiao is busy, Xia Jingxi insincerely brings her chicken soup, advising her to take care of her health. After drinking a few sips, Xia Miaomiao feels dizzy and faints on the table. Xia Jingxi enters with her men, takes Xia Miaomiao away, and confiscates the key that Xia Zhengnan gave her. When Xia Miaomiao wakes up, she finds Mosning standing by her bed. Startled, she screams, but Mosning still approaches her. Unbeknownst to them, Xia Jingxi, hiding in the shadows, takes photos of them in bed.
Concerned for Xia Miaomiao, Leng Zhixing rushes back in his wheelchair, encountering this situation. To ensure Xia Miaomiao's safety, Leng Zhixing, disregarding his own safety, uses his wheelchair to block the man. The man's dagger scratches Leng Zhixing's arm. Xia Miaomiao rushes forward to check on him, and the man and Xia Jingxi flee in panic. Xia Miaomiao quickly tends to Leng Zhixing's wound.
Leng Zhixing asks her how she knew that the problem was with the Leng Corporation's product. Xia Miaomiao reveals that she is part of the Leng Corporation's medical product research team and that the preservative in this product significantly exceeds the standard, making it essentially poisonous. Leng Zhixing expresses his hatred for Leng Jiaxuan's insane actions for the sake of profit. Luo Tian arrives, and Xia Miaomiao is surprised because Luo Tian is Mosning's subordinate. Leng Zhixing immediately scolds her, accusing her of being emotionally rich and attracting men at the age of eighteen.
