Xia Miaomiao (played by Guo Jiayu) slept on the sofa in the bedroom at night. In the middle of the night, Leng Zhixing (played by Xie Yibo) had a nightmare, reliving the scene of his car accident. Seeing his unease, Xia Miaomiao hurriedly came over to comfort him. However, Leng Zhixing tightly held her hand, and she had no choice but to sleep beside him. In the morning, Leng Zhixing was surprised to find Xia Miaomiao had slept through the night, taking care of him. He apologized to her and, as Xia Miaomiao checked his pulse, she discovered he suffered from severe insomnia. She suggested making more medicine packs next time.
Leng Zhixing asked Xia Miaomiao to attend a birthday celebration where he would meet his grandfather. Grandfather was delighted to see that Leng Zhixing had finally married Xia Jingxi according to his wishes. He intended to gift her 5% of Leng Group's shares. However, Xia Miaomiao revealed the truth that she was a stand-in bride. Grandfather, enraged, fainted when Leng Zhixing showed him pictures of Xia Jingxi and Leng Jiaxuan having fun together.
Xia Miaomiao promptly administered first aid, and when the doctor arrived, Grandfather was out of danger. The doctor praised Xia Miaomiao for her accurate judgment of the situation, foreseeing a promising future for her. Grandfather informed Leng Zhixing that only the two of them were left in the Leng family and whoever could handle Mosnian of the Empire Group would be entrusted with the presidency of Leng Group. Hearing that Mosnian always wore a mask, making dealings difficult, Xia Miaomiao, on the side, revealed the business card she received from the masked man that night.
