Xia Miaomiao approached her father, Xia Zhengnan, expressing her desire to work at Xia Corporation. Xia Mother initially objected, believing Miaomiao, as a recent graduate, couldn't contribute much to the company. Xia Father suggested she start from the grassroots level. However, Miaomiao pointed out that when she married into the Leng family, they helped Xia Corporation during a crisis by purchasing 15% of its shares. Now, she wanted to become the general manager of Xia Corporation. Xia Jingxi protested, asserting that Miaomiao, as an adopted daughter, had no right to compete with her. Xia Zhengnan intervened, emphasizing that the person who secures the position of general manager would be in charge. Remembering that Leng Zhixing had once offered her the Asia-Pacific agency rights for the luxury brand HE as part of their breakup, Miaomiao realized she had to accept this gift from Leng Zhixing.
The university alumni association held a meeting at Du Siyu's vacation resort. Du Siyu intercepted Miaomiao and humiliated her, warning her to stay away from Lin Yuhang. Unwilling to back down, Miaomiao warned Du Siyu not to be too arrogant, or she would face embarrassment. Du Siyu, feeling both embarrassed and angry, conspired with a few close friends to teach Miaomiao a lesson.
Leng Zhixing, upon hearing that Miaomiao attended the university alumni association meeting at Du Siyu's resort, had a foreboding feeling.
