On her way home, Sun Xuan unexpectedly encountered that boy. It turned out that they lived in the same building. Sun Xuan invited him to her place, and she found out that the boy didn't talk much but loved eating the sweet potato porridge she made. Watching him enjoy it so deliciously, as if savoring a gourmet delicacy, even though he didn't say a word, she still felt a strong sense of closeness to him. Before leaving, she held the boy's hand and realized that his hand was icy cold. In order to establish a closer relationship with him, Sun Xuan decided to invite him for a meal the next day.

The next day, she bought the ingredients, and the two of them cooked together in the kitchen. Sun Xuan was pleasantly surprised to discover that the boy was quite skilled at cooking, and the food he made was exceptionally delicious. However, what she didn't expect was that this man, who had shared three meals with her, turned out to be an assassin.

As Wang Putao told this part of the story, Feng Tianlan felt that the ending wasn't good. Feng Tianlan started the continuation from the second day, where Sun Xuan and the boy had a date. Since Wang Putao disagreed with braised sea cucumber, Feng Tianlan changed it to pork trotters soup. The next day, while at work, Sun Xuan was lost in thoughts about the evening's recipe. She was so absorbed that she didn't even hear her colleague speaking to her and left work early to go home.

The boy discovered that the pork trotters soup Sun Xuan made was delicious, so he often came over to eat. After spending some time together, the two of them fell in love. The boy held Sun Xuan in his arms and thanked her for taking him in. As Feng Tianlan reached this point in the story, Wang Putao heard him and couldn't help but interrupt. Feng Tianlan retorted that there was no rule against time inspectors speaking and, in fact, he had made the time inspector speak and provided a better ending for Sun Xuan. According to Wang Putao's setup, Sun Xuan would die of cancer at the age of 30, and the time inspector was there to claim her life. However, Feng Tianlan's ending was that the time inspector allowed Sun Xuan to take over his position and give up her freedom for her. Hearing the time inspector's confession to Sun Xuan, Wang Putao understood Feng Tianlan's intention. Feng Tianlan embraced her and confessed that he remembered everything from last night. When Wang Putao was about to close the door and go to sleep, Feng Tianlan suddenly held her and the two of them passionately kissed. But at a critical moment, Wang Putao stopped.
